Yeah but a conclusion can be made of The fact that AJ actually beat Parker.
No triangles needed for that one
Just as Andy beat AJ and lost to him. Could happen between AJ and Parker. But it seems mostly some fans are interested in this fight.
Zhang should have beat Parker. In fact Parker really did not do much to even bother Zhang. Zhang was his own worst enemy because he came in about 20-30 pounds over weight. Zhang barely touched Parker and he went down twice.
Parker did enough. He isn't a puncher to hurt Zhang and Zhang on the other hand is a puncher that can hurt everybody. He didn't land a single one in the last round, so Parker did something, despite two knockdowns, didn't he? Joyce was unable to.
Oh my
.....
His defenses were Razvan Cojanu and Hughie Fury
Ohhhhhh my
Klitschko
Parker
Povetkin
Pulev
Takam
Vs
Cojanu
Hughie fury
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my
oh my indeed. I didn't realise how piss poor Joshua's reign was until you pointed it out.
And yeah, its a shame Parker got jobbed by the ref against AJ. At least he still has the heart of a champion.
Joshua...meh, not so much!
The easiest way to settle if 2024 AJ is better than 2024 Parker is to fight him again with no Hearn shenanigans.
Joshua has done enough to earn a shot at Parker. Though I'd still like to see him take another tuneup fight against Sanchez just to be sure or any other top 10 guy actually.
Triangle theories, guys:
Parker beat Ruiz who beat AJ. AJ beat Parker.
Parker lost to Joyce who lost to Zhang twice. Parker beat Zhang.
No conclusions can be made, except fighters need activity right because interesting things come out when less or even not expected.

I think both statements are simultaneously true.
AJ hasn't proven to me that he's any better than he has been in the past, his wins over Wallin and Ngannou were against lower opposition. I did however see noticeable improvements in Joshuas attitude and focus in those fights compared to his recent form. You can't say he wasn't better against Wallin than he was against Franklin.
Parker's wins over Wallin and Wilder were over overhyped old fighters, be aware I picked Parker to win both fights and especially in the Zhang fight I was pointing to Zhangs age and stamina, the fact that most boxing fans are reactionary and foolish and were picking Zhang isn't my fault. The improvement in Parker is that he doesn't switch off in fights anymore however he has become flat footed so that's his drawback.
People can argue the rankings all they like, the fact is Parker has NEVER been ranked higher than AJ, lost head to head to AJ, has 2 defences of a single belt on his resume vs AJ who has 7 defences of 3 belts and is a 2 time champion who has won two unification bouts.
AJ's only recent losses were two points losses to the pound for pound number 1 while Parker's was a brutal KO loss to a guy who just fought in a leisure center, and if we are being honest should have a loss to Derek Chisora from their first fight a couple of years back.
Put it another way Parker has a recent ko loss to a guy ranked below AJ, AJ's recent losses were to a guy ranked above Parker.
Credit Parker for his two recent good wins but it's not enough to overtake a man who has achieved FAR more than Parker has in his career.
That's all.
It's not about the recent losses. Its about the recent wins. Parker's wins are far superior against better quality opposition.
Downplay Parker's wins against Wilder and Zhang all you like but they are still 2 guys Joshua didnt want to face so didnt.
Parker also beat Ruiz, the guy who made Joshua quit in his corner and then ran away from for a pitty pat victory in another of his bullshït A-Side rematch clauses.
Parker was a far better champion and has faced the best of his era with no excuses from him for his losses and no sense of entitlement to his wins.
We all know what Usyk did to Joshua, twice and how he embarrassed himself in the aftermath. No one needs to have a 3 peat for pretty much the same result.
A Parker v Joshua rematch is a fight the fans deserve. If 1 v 2 is Fury v Usyk and 3 or 4 is debatable. Then match 3 v 4 and sort out who is better and deserving of a title shot after Usyk v Fury.
As is, Joshua is running scared of everyone in the top 10 because he hasn't faced any though he could have if he wanted to.
Most of all he's ducking Parker.
Let's say there is some validity in that. Then it is easy to say that AJ's wins over the old and always average Helenius and the average Franklin prove he is not on a great comeback or transformed into "AJ V2". Not even his victory over Francis. His only legit top opponent was Otto, but they were sparring partners, so AJ knew him very well.
The last opponents of Parker are of better quality than AJ's. I think that currently, he deserves a higher place in the rankings - what's wrong with that? Whether he is the better boxer now I can't tell, probably not, I consider his loss to AJ. But instead of calling Whyte, AJ can rematch Parker, if he doesn't intend to fight some other top 10.

It's hard to say if Parkers wins over Zhang and Wilder say more about how good Parker is or how overrated those two were, and for being 40 year old men they were both overrated, it was ludicrous to me how people just ignored Zhangs advanced age and proven terrible stamina.

If that were true why is Joshua unanimously ranked higher on independent rankings organisations The Ring, the Trpb and boxrec?
Theres not one single ranking system that has JP higher, they can't all be biased.
Sure they can be and must be.
I could understand the rankings if it were Joshua who shut out Wilder in a unanimous decision and got up from 2 knockdowns against Zhang to beat him over the distance...
...but he didn't!
He's done jack shït since losing to Usyk. The only way i can make sense of it is that Fast Eddie gives the best blowies and overstuffs the brown envelopes.
Bullshït!!!
Parker's recent body of work and ability speak for themselves.
Joshua hasnt fought a legit top 10 guy in over 2 years. Parker fought and beat 2 legit top 5 guys in the last 6 months.
Dont get it twisted. Joshua is ahead because the alphabet orgs can make more commission from an AJ fight than a Parker one.

Joshua is ahead on the rankings based on entire body of work, recent form and ability.

...and yet somehow Parker is behind Joshua in the rankings because apparently Joshys last 2 wins over his sparring partner and an MMA guy, rate better than Parkers win over 2 top 5 guys.
Go figure...

Parker has slightly better recent form, but less of a body of work overall, less ability overall and has a H2H loss to Joshua.
You can say you think Parker would win now but that's speculation and it's hard to put Parker over a guy who has already beaten him especially when Parker has a recent devastating loss to a guy who doesn't even factor into the current title scene.

Don`t you remember that Wilder was saved by the bell in the first Ortiz fight. Just Parker is not 40 years old. If Ortiz was 5 years younger, history would be different from 2017 on.
I can agree to that but it’s only our opinion
Nothing sure besides taxes and fughin death
In The end he still pulled the trigger and got him out of there
Emperor Zhang destroys that bum!
I don't think you can call Parker a bum and Zhang "Emperor" when he had a draw fight against a nobody like Forrest.
To the topic: Parker was active this year and I hope he will keep the pace the next one. If he offers Zhang a fight, I believe he will accept it as nobody calls him out and he is out of time.
Yes, Zhang punches hard and sharp, but has cardio for half a fight. Just because he knocked out a slow one-dimensional guy who simply took all the punches still doesn't mean Zhang will be able to knock out Parker who moves better and has a very hard head. So this fight is 50:50.
I never said he was bad , never
Ortiz was similar to Parker , in the fact that he could box from the outside and still got ktfo
But that was when Wilder could still pull the trigger
Now , I don’t think he can cause if he’s could at a certain point , while Parker was dominating him , he’d go to sleep

Better than Wilder for sure.
Just because Parker lost to Joshua and Whyte it doesn`t mean he is bad. LOL.
