That advice is good in an era where women aren’t influenced by social media to hate men.
What Jermell did is not acceptable. But women are told that they should verbally and in some cases physically fight men, because they’re equal. Told that it’s bad to be a “traditional” girlfriend.
Yeah, but I trust my son won't want a woman like that. Know what I'm saying? If he's the right kind of man, he won't be attracted to a woman who doesn't carry herself like a real lady.
I hear it tho. This stuff is coming at boys and girls, men and women from all sides. Everybody's really confused anymore, and it's only getting worse. So big up the boys in your life and teach them good principles: strength, kindness and integrity. And care for the girls in your life the way ladies are supposed to be treated and teach them to be gentle, helpful and dignified.
These brothers are in need of a lot of help. Rule number one, never hit a woman. Rule number two, never brag about doing a crime to anyone, not even your mother. Aside from this audio showing Jermell being more heinous than anything, it shows just how psychotic he is. And although I believe you have to be delusional to be an elite-high level fighter, this is inexcusable. Accidents happen and things take place in the moment when emotions are revving high. But a recording like this erases any benefit of the doubt he could’ve been given.
Coming off this loss to Canelo in the manner in which he did can break anyone. From the outside looking in, his woman looked like she was a ride or die. But even that went out the window because I saw she was posting all these videos of him packing his bags while being accused of cheating. So like a previous poster said, broken men often times choose broken people to surround them. This is no different.
Yeah it's evident him and his brother are emotionally deficient. It's like their emotional systems just never developed fully.
I can't say for sure brother, it's a shame seems to happen to a lot of dudes with potential they throw it away over some ill behaviour
Lots of people are not surprised. Especially when it comes to Charlo keeping his mind off boxing for about a year or so, "He just had his fight." The media is so used to these Charlos they won't even reach out to them about their plans related to boxing. It's nothing new.
He said she called the cops... he just got arrested. Unless he's had the cops called on him for hitting a woman before and we didn't hear about it, this is literally him bragging about socking his wife in the eye.
Was weird to hear the excitement in his voice describing it going purple and swelling up. If that's his wife he doesn't love her I couldn't entertain doing such a thing to my misses.
A combination of factors lead to this. Most boxers lack education and come from working class backgrounds. They've existed in environments where violence is normalised. They don't tend to choose well adjusted women, or have access to them, but instead pair off with attractive women from similar backgrounds to them. The dysfunction is inherent in the relationship. Doesn't make it right, but it's predictable.
I agree with some of this except for 1. "working class background" and 2. "don't have access to well-adjusted women".
1. It's true that boxing isn't a popular sport among rich people's kids. But also there's a distinction between working class (lots of whom are decent hard-working people) and state-supported class (many of whom live self-destructive lives, bereft of sensibility).
2. If a person can act right, they have access. But people attract people on their same level. Quality women aren't attracted to losers or thugs. I tell my son all the time, "be the kind of man that the women you would want would want."
OP he could be talking about his wife but based on the way he describing the situation it appears he talking about another woman, one who carries herself like a man.
Either way it's wrong but Im not sure there's any evidence to say he beat up his wife.
Yup. Believe half what you see and none of what you hear.
Was he play sparring, both with gloves on, and hit a woman too hard? We have no context for this conversation.
When some of these boxers are successful, everything is going well internally and externally, but when they take an L, it's like the whole world falls apart for them. Family problems, drinking issues, violence, etc...these guys are mentally weak.
Lots of fighters at their level tend to have massive egos. Making excuses after losses (Sometimes valid doe) or denying that their opponent was better that night. Some say that you need to have an overinflated sense of self to make it to where they are, but I'm not a fighter doe, so I couldn't tell you. It doesn't help that fans can be quick to write you off as a bum after a loss or claim you've been exposed. Being undefeated really shouldn't mean as much as it does nowadays imho.

He hung himself real good what an idiot, holiday in the big house material.

You can’t embed YouTube Shorts. It has to be a regular video link. And even clicking on a Shorts linked that way doesn’t work unless you use the app (which I don’t and won’t)
Just updated my post. Thanks broski
Correct link for those that don't live on their phone
