You can’t legit gain 25lbs overnight. Something ain’t right, either he’s using something to get the weight off or something to put the weight back on.
iv's for sure. the floyd. totally illegal but no one cares
in golf u used to have guys using putters that were anchored to their bodies, noone gave a crap until guys doing that started winning stuff, then they wanted to and banned them
having 2 guys weigh very close to each other in the ring is not a big thing for boxing bosses it seems, we have to sort of mostly guess guys fight night weights and say stuff like, ah didnt the small guy do better than expected aaahhh good on him
Not sure if your being sarcastic or not but lmao

wheres wbc suli clown on all of this? hes big into 'fairness' with the ladies & a stand up guy for the guys (?) but not too bothered about this issue so much, is it because the golden boy (Canelo) also has hollow legs it seems, suli clown secretly likes haney now he can even outdo his little ginger hero
There was a lot of controversy and backlash about this garbage back when Gatti sent Joey Gamache out of the ring on a stretcher and almost died. That fight, Gatti gained 19 pounds on the day of the fight since weigh-in.
Good shout! This needs more attention, I can't think of a more pertinent comparison.
Just need to read some of the comments on this post to realize what matters to certain so called boxing aficionados
Judging by what I’m reading it’s race , colour , religion or some other chit when a guy is telling me it’s perfectly legal to fight a guy who’s 4 divisions higher
Why the fugh do we need divisions ?
Wishing a body would of been left in that ring and see how fast tunes would change
Smfh , difference of 4 weight divisions but yeah that’s all good , hey it’s fughin legal
25 pounds overnight
Now that’s fughin magic
hollow legs haney really needs to target and collect all the belts at 140 and 147 at the same time
now that would send bill into a tizzy & an endless supply of flowers forever
Its like asking if you're ok with slow plodders fighting lightning fast fighters which we all are. Fighters already do agree to weight stips but for championship fights we have rules an official weigh in and after that they come in at whatever which I'm fine with.
I respect your opinion but don’t agree with it especially after a fighter rehydrates 25 pounds in 24 hours
I believe there is more to it but for many here it don't fit there agenda
Bet you chit would hit the fan if Devin would of killed him
Mauricio gots an app he's gonna make top 15 guys & belt holders use to track weight soon.
And those who make weight get a shiny new belt. Those who miss weight only get a participation trophy, which is also a shiny new belt.

do they have speed classes too?
This guy is the biggest weight bully in the sport. They call Benavidez a weight bully but I don't see him with a 4 inch reach and height advantage like Haney has had in his biggest 2 fights, plus 10 pounds in weight. Haney is a joke.
No, we have divisions and day before weigh ins, as I have said fighters being able to cut and blow back up with no ill effects are using their natural advantages. Do you want height and reach divisions for lanky windmills? divisions for harder punchers? faster fighters and so on?
IV drips are not a "natural advantage" though.
What is wrong with the notion of just having two evenly sized competitors face off in a fair contest? Surely that should be the goal of separating boxers by weight class, no?
Yes, sportsmen will always look for an edge over the competition, but there are simple measures that could reasonably be taken to mitigate that. A rehydration limit adhered to by a second official weigh-in on the day of the fight would be the simplest solution.

So your ok for a lightweight to fight a super middleweight ?
Wouldn’t it be easier to eliminate the divisions cause in all reality they’re there for no apparent reason
Just let the fighters agree to the weight stipulations , no need for divisions
Sounds good in theory. It didn't work great in practice. Having guys cutting weight closer to fight time leaves the brain at more risk. This is why we don't see nearly as many deaths & serious injuries in fights as we have in the past. If same day weigh ins came back you are gonna see a lot more ring deaths.
My hope would be that it would encourage fighting closer to your natural "fighting shape" weight, but that's probably wishful thinking.
If you excessively weight cut you are a weight bully cause it is to gain advantage over a smaller fighter. Why do IBF have a 10lbs rehydration rule
That IBF weight rule got dropped shortly afterwards, but only in unification fights because of that fight.
