The dude cleans out 140. “All those guys were nobodies”.
Wins a title at 147. “He still ain’t fighting nobody”.
Stops Shawn Porter. “Shawn was finished, he has one hip”.
Destroys Errol Spence and becomes Undisputed. “Spence was shot, brain damaged, a walking corpse”.
Now he’s supposedly “Ducking Jaron Ennis”.
When are you losers gonna man up and give this dude his credit?

Stop crying and practice the old saying, if it don't apply, let it fly.
John Ruiz was average. If Lennox Lewis had of beat John Ruiz it would have been a meh type win. But a former middleweight beating him is a different matter. It is a great win. Not the greatest win over of all time, there must even be levels of great. Some are great, great, and some are just great.
He was already fighting light heavy
Not a fa stretch at that point
I actually wouldn’t call it a great win
John was the easiest heavyweight at the time to beat and was very beatable
RJJ knew that and so did most of the fans
He never did fight another heavyweight so that says a lot about his crusade to the division

I don't know. He was fighting the best fighters available. Too bad they were no good.
So, from statistical viewpoint, he's great.
Bur how would he deal with a truly great fighter at 100% against him? We won't ever know.
Spence is an elite fighter IMO. He was undefeated, unified champion, coming off an impressive win/performance against Ugas.
Only thing you could hold against him is he was inactive as he hadn’t fought in over 12 months.
People will say he was weight drained but he’s always struggled to make 147. As I mentioned before it’s like saying Hearns was drained against Leonard. They’re big guys trying to make 147, it is what it is.
Then they’ll bring up the crash but he’d fought twice since and looked fine comfortably out-boxing Garcia and destroying Ugas.
I still think Spence is an elite fighter too, I just think he’s found his kryptonite in Crawford. I don’t think anybody else from 147-160 does that to Spence.
I know, i meant John Ruiz. RJJ beating the average John Ruiz is a great win.

Who exactly should Crawford have fought though?
Are we really pretending Thurman, Danny Garcia are legit threats?

No they can't. Nobody fought everybody at 100% all of the time. But 20% of decent wins is a bad look.
50-60% and we are talking greatness.

what's even more crazy is he's either stopped or dominated every single opponent he's faced. who else has done that
Roy Jones Jr. until he got old.
And Roy's domination was way stronger than Bud's.
One can play this discrediting game with virtually every fighter over the last 30 years if one so is so inclined. A better question then is to ask people to list fighters who they think fought all the best fighters at exactly the right time, from a sporting perspective. That will be a short list.

Last guy to hear the final bell was Postol I believe.
People just throw subjective terms like "elite" and "prime" around, thinking they're making a solid argument.
A fighters “prime” is like the smallest window possible too.
If they’re 25 they’re “green” if they’re 32 they’re “old”.
I consider Leonard beating Hearns the single greatest win in boxing history, imagine how that would be received now. :lol1:
“22 year old Hearns was green”, “He was weight drained” “He was a hype job anyway” “Who has he beaten? Cuevas was a journeyman.”

It don’t make any sense, like at all. Then again a lot of boxing fans low key are racist and like seeing black men get beat by non blacks. Other than that, I can’t see how Fulton losing to inoue is this miraculous win.
Inoue beating Fulton isn't the greatest win of all time, it might be one the greatest performances though. But it's not racist to say it's better than buds win over spence, and neither is it racist to think bivols win over nelo is better too.
Lots don't like Asians be successful too. I don't usually engage in race topics.
Does this make sense to anyone else
WTF

Ever since watching mayweather masterfully pick apart opponents I've seen countless haters on forums who can't seem to give props and always find a way to disparage or lessen the victory. Since mayweather stopped they changed up that focus to the next undefeated guy who is elite level. I wonder if racism is behind it somewhat it seems that way to me.
Let's go over Crawford's last 10 wins.
1. Errol Spence: weight drained, after 2 car accidents, often spotted drunk.
2. David Avanesyan: 3L who was picked as a light touch on a strange show where Bud was allowed to KO the guy with torn gloves.
3. Porter: a solid win. However, he took a beating from Spence before that and was ready to retire.
4. Kell Brook: a guy with damaged face from two bad beatings who couldn't take a punch by that time.
5. Egidijus Kavaliauskas: an unknown guy who got KOd.
6. Amir Khan: a chinny fighter who quit on a leg shot near the end of his career.
7. Jose Benavidez Jr: a guy with one leg (literally).
8. Jeff Horn: he only got this fight because he beat Pac on a hometown gift.
9. Julius Indongo: an unknown light puncher who somehow destroyed a (old, hometown) champion he was supposed to lose to in Moscow.
10. Felix Diaz: a good win.
So, 2 good wins in last 10 fights.
Am I being objective?
It's not like Bud didn't do what he did. It's just the way he did it was underwhelming. He always seemed to be lucky with opponents when it came to title fights.

I agree with all of it. Bud has yet to defeat a prime, elite fighter. all of his opponents have either been B+ fighters or past their prime.
