I always edged him to beat Haney but what is he going to do against Tank? And if he was ****ting bricks against Edwin because of his power then idk if he should ever go past 135.
Guys like Haney I think he’d outbox, guys like Tank would likely test his chin. I think that’s either Stevenson by decision or Tank by KO.
I’d ideally like to see Stevenson vs Tank and the Haney/Prograis winner fight Teofimo. Obviously won’t happen though.
Yeah I get you. He’s super talented and I do think he beats pretty much everyone around his weight class but he likely does it in pretty boring fashion.

I'm not really champing at the bit to see him in any big fights. After Nakathila and De Los Santos I might not really be excited to see him in any fights.

Yeah but 130 is pretty dead. Maybe Loma goes back there but Valdez and Berchelt aren’t gonna move the needle much. Maybe they sell in England.
Navarette is going to 135 to fight Shakur. He’s been having a difficult time making 130. Shakur needs a high volume opponent to look good.
I don’t think TR will risk Navarette losing before they can make that fight, which I believe they will before they make Shakur v Loma.
Nava only started campaigning at 130 during 2023, and this is his 3rd weight at 28 years old. I guess if you gotta move up, then so be it. But when you compare his physique to Conceicao's last night, you wonder about Nava's training or diet.
Take away Foster's 130lb title, and he drastically loses value as an opponent. Foster's value won't increase by having him move up to 135. 130lb is dead partially because the titlists aren't fighting each other.
If everything TR does is to benefit Shakur because they pay him so much, how does Foster fit into the plan? Foster vs. Shakur could turn out similar to what we saw last night, so it can't be that. If Foster doesn't eventually get a unification with Nava, I question why he signed with TR instead of remaining a free agent. Maybe TR wants to match Foster against Henry Lebron.
I think he’ll struggle, reminds me a bit of Andre Ward, not stylistically but in the sense that he’s very talented but not very exciting.

Stevenson will get the fights in time. I just can't stand the narrative.

That’s the only one that was a blatant duck. The rest had justifiable reasons to choose another direction.

Tbf, in the case of Stevenson it’s a fair point, Haney vacated the belt and went to 140 instead of fighting him- justifiably, I’m not saying it’s a duck or anything. Then Cruz and Loma seemingly passed on fighting him for the vacant title. Then Frank Martin withdrew from a mandated fight against him too. Guys are avoiding Shakur, he’s high risk, low reward.
Janibek is more or less just stuck in an irrelevant division. Andrade ducked him and Munguia and Eubank Jr both passed on title opportunities, but he isn’t some boogeyman.
I'll give Stevenson Frank Martin anyway.
You can’t say that for certain since Shakur didn’t call his bluff. And then turned around and offered Frank Martin a 25% split.
Use some common sense. Haney is dead at 135, he was never staying at 135 for a fight with Stevenson.
Haney was never interested in that fight. All that split BS was PR nonsense.

Haney was willing to fight Shakur as long as he accepted 25% of the purse. Which was fair since Shakur is a non-draw.

Well, now people will avoid Shakur because they don't want to be in a stinker of a match against a guy who can't draw and get booed. Not much to gain. But that wasn't really an uncharacteristic performance for him. He's got great skill, but it really wasn't on display last night.

Foster is 130 though. He SHOULD be there for Navarrete.

My guess is Foster is there for Devin and Shakur to beat.
What TR is VERY good at is finding the right opponents for their top names. Their matchmakers are incredibly good at their jobs.

I think Barboza has been wanting to face Teo since before the Taylor fight, but Teo is stubbornly refusing. Teo seems to want to milk as much $$$ from his Taylor victory as possible, and I understand. However, being inactive will potentially decrease his marquee value. He really needs to fight, and Barboza was a good stay-busy opponent because he comes to fight. Let's see what GBP can do for Barboza.
On another topic, let's see what TR can do for O'Shaquie Foster.

Yeah good point.
Oddly enough, this was Floyd’s main reason for leaving. Shakur has talked about it as well.
Barboza has to be fuming. That fight could raise his profile immensely should he win, which is a real possibility.
