I made a thread about it based on an interview of Frank Martin on video.
Do you believe Stevenson was offered $8 million from Haney?

Little did I know there were tons of references of it on Youtube. And it's amazing there's not a single video contesting it's authenticity. You can't even get a clear picture from Stevenson himself, the very guy who's supposed to debunk it. All you can do is go along with it.
If no one is questioning the figures, then you'll have to take YouTubers' word for it.
But for normal people, it's not easy to believe them, especially a fight between boxers who are not known to be big in the box office. Even Cotto vs Canelo wasn't worth $32 million. It's an insult to throw such obviously fake made up figures especially in the midst of major broadcasters leaving boxing forever.
Haney offered $8 million to Shakur according to Youtubers' sources. It's the 25 split they've been talking about. Meaning, the size of the fight is worth $32 million. Haney gets $24 million for the fight. It's a hyuuuge fight!
That's fair. Shakur isn't bringing much as a pro compared to Haney.
Haney is 50/50 against Prograis (imo) , so it may well be a moot point
It's a simple question.
Don’t matter cause Haney can’t make 135 and even if he could Skank would put a great big fat “DEHYDRATION CLAUSE” on his a-$$. So Haney ain’t going to go for that.
He will NEVER fight Shakur cause he won’t even fight a LESS THREATENING Loma who’s OLD AS F**K. He’s not a real fighter. He’s a BUSINESSMAN.
Do you actually believe that ANYONE is putting up 32 million for a Haney fight? I don't buy that at all. I could see a total purse of 8 million. 32? No way.

Tank would be the bigger money fight. Not sure how serious either of them are about fighting each other. Tank doesn't want to fight the best at their best and Haney wants to price out Shakur. If Shakur really wants the fight he may need to accept the 25% if he's confident he can really win. I don't think a Haney/Shakur fight does huge numbers either.
I don't think any fight involving Haney is that big of a money fight because his style is so fan unfriendly, especially after his controversial fight against Loma. Maybe if he can leverage the hater crowd. But a fight between him and Shakur would be a fight between two fan-UNfriendly styles.
I suspect if Ryan Garcia can get a few more in the win column that he'll be a bigger money fight than Haney too.

That's why this sport is a joke, if you think about it. It's still not clear if the current top guys will fight each other, or they'll go on fighting their own individual fights not wanting anything to do with one another.
Tank vs Haney should be next.
That's the biggest mystery. Why this site is peppered with Shakur vs Haney and not Tank vs Haney. Any sensible explanation to this?
Probably because there has been back and forth between Shakur and Devin. Call outs, offers made, mandatory positions invoked, ducking accusations etc.
Shakur vs Haney ain't happening. Fight is relegated to a blame game sport.
I for one don't believe Haney can still make it at 135. I see a Zombie vs Shakur.
I think he stays at 140 and eventually they fight at that weight. Haney eventually goes back to TR because Shakur and Teo bring money.
I think once Shakur gets all the other belts and Tank eventually gets made because there is money to be made.
Shakur is perceived to be the better LW above Tank.
Haney is the recognized LW champ. I think people see a Shakur v Haney fight as establishing ‘the best LW boxer in the world’.
Tank is seen as 3rd best, behind Loma, for most.
I also think most assume Tank is going to fight pitbull next and isn’t thinking about Haney.

Let's make things clear here:

Obviously Tank but it might not be worth crippling himself and then being saddled with a loss. Shakur might beat him also but at least he'd have a fair chance.
Tank is. I’m not sure how anyone with an account in this site doesn’t see this.

Maybe Tank and Teo aren't too interested in facing Haney?
I'd expect Teo Lopez to come out and take active interest in pursuing the Prograis-Haney winner.
Tank is still managed by Ellerbe. I don't know what their plans are.
There's also Ryan Garcia, whose name Eddie Hearn already threw in there for the Prograis/Haney winner. And Dela Hoya is amenable to it for a DAZN fight. Easiest fight to make.
Tank is obviously the bigger money fight, casuals know who he is from the Cryan fight. I doubt casuals will know who Shakur is, and getting casuals interested is what propels ppv buys.
