Do you think he regrets saying Wilder is still a baby when asked about the potential of Klitschko vs Wilder in Vegas?
Wilder Will Not Be Rushed To Klitschko, Says Finkel

“Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said to the Tuscaloosa News. “It's not the right thing yet. Give him a couple of fights, maybe bring something back to Alabama. Let him develop just like any other athlete. They don't take someone who is a great college prospect and throw him right in. And this kid is a great prospect.”
Why is Finkel afraid to talk to the media? He still got a high-profile guy making noise in the media and hasn't fought in over a year since his last fight, yet we can't get anything from Shelly. What is he hiding?
Fighting Wlad was a big missed opportunity for Team Wilder IMO.
When you look at Wlad’s last couple of performances the decline was pretty obvious. He looked off against Jennings, worse against Fury and then a shell of himself against AJ 2 years later.
People will probably cry about this but if Klitschko-Wilder would’ve got made in say 2015. I think Wilder knocks him out.
Wilder wouldn't have had a snowball in hell's chance of beating Wlad in 2015. Finkel knew it and that's why they avoided the fight.

He most likely regrets turning down DAZN's multi-million $$$ offer for Wilder.
He was even invited by then DAZN exec John Skipper in his posh luxury suite.
He remained defiant and wanted everything under his control. Turned it all down.
DAZN at that time was spending money like crazy, offering millions of dollars left and right. Those days are gone gone gone.
