Both are deeply frustated they wont split $100m for their bout in Saudi.
Nevertheless it would still do big numbers in Vegas. Maybe similar to Canelo vs Charlo and Crawford vs Spence. Both these fights generated more than $70m.
probably, but that is not the point. The point is, Wilder must beat somebody to be relevant. How about fighting Ruiz?
Yeah, but Wilder clearly doesn't care about fighting unless it's crazy Saudi money it seems.
i'm not even sure about how serious Ruiz is about fighting again either because apparently he has asked for a huge money to fight Wilder now. he was approached for a Tyson Fury fight last year by Warren and Top Rank and he wanted 20 million dollars. Now I'm hearing he wants 25 to fight Wilder. I'm sure he would get in the ring for less though.
But the reason it seems like Andy Ruiz is not serious about fighting is because he has no reason to be inactive. At least with Wilder he was kind of told that this Joshua fight would be happening in December for some big Saudi money which then couldn't be delivered, so he had a bit of reason to be waiting around if he thought that was happening, but Ruiz has never had any of this on the table or any talk of these kind of fights, so he should be an active fighter, he has no excuses but he's not fighting and when there's talks of a fight, he throws unrealistic numbers out there.
So I'm sure Ruiz isnt serious either unless it's ridiculous money.
If I was Wilder, I wouldn't hold my breath about the Joshua fight happening, so him and Ruiz should get realistic regarding their earnings and fight each other if they're serious about still fighting.
but this is a problem with the likes of Saudi Arabia throwing stupid money at boxing. I don't blame the fighters for taking it. But some must be looking at Fury and Usyk making upwards of 100 million dollars to fight each other and then it doesn't seem appealing for Wilder and Ruiz to fight each other for 5 million or something in Vegas. It's kind of skewed the perception of what Fighters think they're worth, even though they are not.
These idiots always pointing the finger at Hearn to “get it done”.
Have any of us seen anything from
that sour faced old liar Finkel to indicate he is also working to get it done? Answer is no, because he and Wilder don’t want it.
I hate liars and Wilder is one.
- - Deyonce and Shirley Winkel busy sitting in a tree...K-I-S-S-I-N-G...
Deyonce can't draw flies in the ring, but I hear'd his statue in Tuscaloosa has an ardent pigeon fan base...:luvbed:
Fury v AJ Is still a huge fight, regardless of AJ's decline in popularity. I think they'll wait to see if Fury beats Usyk and then go for that fight.

There is no Saudi money for Joshua -Wilder, get over it. Money will go to Usyk -Fury.
So Wilder`s only plan was cash out against Joshua. Not gonna happen.
Now without that Saudi money, I believe it'll be more easy fights for AJ while they see what Fury does.

It's the biggest money fight for AJ and a title shot should Fury beat Usyk.
Now Fury v Usyk has been signed, Eddie doesnt seem to be running around trying secure another location for a Wilder fight. I think he's now thinking it's better to let AJ feast on a few bums and then try to cash out v Fury later next year. Even if Usyk and Fury rematch, AJ could still fight Fury at the end of 2024.
That would be the smart move if nobody is going to pay him huge money to fight Wilder.
also to be fair to Hearn, why is he doing all the work? You never really hear of Wilder's team out trying to get big site fees to make fights happen.
yeah wilder loves boxing thats why he hasnt fought in a year...ok buddy. joshua is simply moving on with his career while wilder sits on the sideline and ducks people like ruiz. why would wilder fight joshua if hes not even willing to figth ruiz? look at his resume. its crap. look at how he ducked joshua and 100 million dollars. whats the one constant factor in all this? wilder wilder wilder. joshua has fought much better competition than wilder who are you fooling? hes not above criticism and isnt a great fighter but wilder is just a joke.

Just get it done Eddie... WTF...
Why isn’t Finkel and Wilder working their asses off to find a site, venue, money etc?
Wilder doesn’t want it, again.
He is done? Has Joshua retired? No.
Joshua has had two comeback fights, and his intentions are clear 'He wants to fight his way back into title contention'.
Who is more likely to fight for a World title again? Or sign to actually fight in a big fight?
Joshua or Wilder?
You know the answer to all of those questions is Anthony Joshua.
Note: Well you have made a good observation on Fury. I have always stated that this battle between, Fury, Uysk, Wilder and Joshua 'Is a battle to see who the last man standing of this era will be. Muhammad Ali was the last man standing from the 70's, Lennox Lewis was the last man standing from the late 80's and 90's, Wladimir Kiltschko was the last man standing from the post Lennox Lewis era, who will be the last man standing in this era?'.
Over the long game, as you have pointed out? It is in Fury's best interests to fights Usyk, Joshua whoever soon as possible 'I already believe he has made a tactical mistake in not already fighting Usyk and Joshua when he could of' etc.
Fury will kill AJ far easier than he did Wilder. If you can’t see that AJ has lost interest in the sport. What can I say?
AJ’s heart isn’t in it no more. He’s done. Wilder hasn’t fought due to GREED and he’s also a DIVA. Same for RUIZ. All the other contenders are good but MOT GREAT. They better stay away from Fury and Wilder for another 3 years. I suspect Fury will physically break down first due to poor eating habits and laziness

The Saudi's pulled the money.
If Hearn put Joshua in against Wilder for no belt and no big payday he would be downright negligent as a promoter - all risk no reward? That's not how it works, guys.
They are both pathetic and exposed. But it is now obvious that AJ has no intention of facing a top fighter and both he and Eddie will play it like it's the other side's fault, as they did twice with Fury in around 6 months. On top of what they both are, they want some big money - Saudi money they don't deserve.
I thought the Joshua vs Wilder fight was happening...
Just get it done Eddie... WTF...
Saudi's money is under new management. It's there for Usyk and Fury. AJ can get another tune up. Wilder needs to fight Ruiz, just sitting around for retirement check. He doesnt want to fight
Tyson Fury & Deonaty Wilder once upon a time both, fought each other to avoid Anthony Joshua 'As they both believed stylistically, they were easier fights for each other'.
Since Joshua has won his two comeback fights, and has started to regain some positive momentum 'Wilder to me looks to be not as enthusiastic at pursuing this fight with Joshua. That is just how it appears to me, Wilder seems to be the same way with Andy Ruiz Junior'.
There is definitive evidence out there, that both Fury and Wilder have battered each other so much 'They want out of the game on the sly'.
Wilder did fight Fury three times, and put in a admirable effort 'But he did get battered once during the second fight, and banged out in the third fight by a fighter in Fury who at no point in his career has ever been deemed as a monster puncher'. I rate Wilder extremely highly within this era of Heavyweights, Fury did not win the first fight it was a draw 'But Wilder has suffered more damaging loses than Fury'.
Anthony Joshua in comparison, has never been legitimately knocked out 'And objectively he has fought more top level heavyweights, and dangerous punchers. Joshua was stopped on his feet once with a smile on his face vs Ruiz Junior, and lost two competitive fights to Usyk back to back over 12 rounds'.
Joshua is the most powerful puncher Wilder would of ever faced 'Wilder has never fought somebody with Joshua's power, and combined boxing ability skill for skill'.
Joshua ultimate goal does not seemed to be 'To fight Deontay Wilder'. It is to fight his way back into title contention, if Wilder is apart of that fight back 'Then the fight will have to happen'. If Wilder is not, then Joshua at some point will have to fight and win another top level fight against another Heavyweight.
Joshua's intentions are more clear than Wilder's 'Wilder is knocking about, but does he want to fight his way back into title contention? Does he actually want to sign to make a big fight? I don't know mate' etc.

AJ American debut.

Hearn got cold feet and didn't see enough money on the table to cash AJ in ffs he didn't even want AJ to rematch Whyte and said he didn't want to make that fight before facing Wilder but felt forced due to lack of opposition available
In my opinion a gun shy fighter looking to cash out vs Wilder is a bad move Wilder will knock him out stone cold
AJ has never fought Fury, who i consider the only real challenge out there. All the rest are bums. Wilder has fought him 3 times.
