That nobody cares.
Janibek is doing the same thing GGG was doing.
If "big names" don`t fight you, than fight everybody else and get as many belts as you can.
Janibek will get his money fights sooner or later. Moving up to 168 could be helpful.
I've seen Janibek in the gyms.
I was pretty impressed with what I saw.
But TBH ( keep in mind this is sparring )
I didn't see nothing special.
Is he a Good fighter ? Yes.
Is he the next MW Star ?
Not so sure about that.
I think I just can't stomach the boogeyman nonsense from Janibek (more likely Top Rank PR crew). He's a central Asian fighting an Italian German in Texas. Maybe people just don't care? :dunno:
So, what is your point? That you would care if one was American and the other was Mexican?
Are you a boxing fan or what?

Elijah Garcia on the rise should make it a lil more interesting soon. I'd love to see Elijah vs any of the belt holders in the next 12-18mos. But yea its not gonna be a deep division any time soon with how barren it is atm. But overall its gonna need Tim &/or Mell &/or some of the other top 154 guys moving up to make it a fun division anytime soon & idek if thats in the cards.
I think Garcia is my favorite middleweight. I even like Ammo Williams despite how flawed he is.
He's 40 and his middleweight resume consists of Cornflake LaManna and Spike O'Sullivan. His last decent win was 2017 against Gausha. He's a long way past his wins over the likes of Foreman, Smith, Zaveck, or Trout.
I thought he was older than 40.....He probably is "unofficially" Another PBC champion who hasn't fought in over a year and a half. It's crazy how baron this division has become.
****, I had forgotten Lara moved up and somehow got a belt. How old is he now?

golovkin seems to be retired (and he should be), eubank is misinformed and delusional, adames wants charlo, lara is in limbo. what are janibek and gualtieri supposed to do? i commend them for making this fight instead of defending against even less deserving guys.
Shit, I had forgotten Lara moved up and somehow got a belt. How old is he now?
