So there's absolutely no chance this fight can't happen if it's not in Saudi Arabia? Why such simple question can't be answered is incomprehensible. The so-called "media" has no interest in asking such simple question to Hearn or Finkel. I don't know why. If people are confident it would sell on PPV, I don't know what the problem is. It's mind-boggling.
The answer to the question how much Wilder wants in this fight is also not answered.
There you go. Spoken like a true boxing fan. The fight will never happen without the Saudi money.
End thread here.
No title?
No payday?
No fight.
This isn't hard.
Joshua would make the same money rematching Joseph Parker or Charles Martin, because he'd get a bigger split of a smaller pot.
The fight doesn't make any sense to any sane person without the Saudi money.

Wilder has more interest in dancing with Scott. How about that Ruiz fight since the Saudis pulled the money? Either he gets beat up and puts Ruiz to sleep for a couple of minutes. I go with the ladder after watching Ruiz vs Areola.
Not one member in the media is interested in asking either Hearn or Winkel,
"Why do this fight have to happen in Saudi Arabia?"
"How much exactly do these clowns want to make it happen in the US or the UK?"
You want a neutral venue? How about China, Poland, Mexico, South Africa...?
I very much would like to see the answers to those questions. Youtubers step up! So-called media is not interested is asking important questions.
every ranked contender is in boxing because they want "too much money" immediately or down the line. if that's not the case, they would be doing something else. everything is fun and games until you see benny paret, kim duk koo, gerald mcclellan, magomed abdusalamov, prichard colon...
i am not mad at joshua and wilder for not making their fight if they don't really want it. i question why they even box anymore. if they don't want to fight guys like zhang, hrgovic and joyce and they already lost 2 times against top2 fighters, what are they even doing in boxing? they are just holding out the division.

Deyonce turned down life changing purse for AJ American debut, he and a half dozen ranked heavies.
Eddie hired Deyonce buddy Ortiz who flopped his UK debut vs a marshamallow journeyman, so who Deyonce pick to go life and death such that the ref had to pull some KD funny biz for Deyonce to keep his fake title in the first fight?
Yeah, that Ortiz. Thanks for the reminder!!!
Deyonce not a draw in US, UK, SA. No $$$ in a 39 yr old has been when AJ could fight Hrg in a huge international fight for the IBF interim...:yeah:
Nothing you said erases Eddie protecting AJ from wilder.
Styles make fights. Not U.K. fanboys talking resume. Ok Queeny?

Where is Shirley Winkel in all of this hysteria? He's too scared to talk to the media, isn't he?
He got arrogant and conceited in the first negotiations and can't stomach Hearn and now
he's fully reliant on Hearn on the Saudi aspect of the fight trying to correct the stupid things he did in the past.
“Don’t you ever forget that when I found you, you were strung out on coke. You were like a big house, contemplating killing yourself. Don’t you ever forget who brought you to big-time boxing. I brought you back, dragged you back, I put food on your table for your family to eat and I’m doing it again for a second time. I’m the one who sells the pay-per-view and tickets. They come to see me.”
Fury was quick to parry Wilder’s attacks, saying: “And that’s the man you take on? A man thinking about killing himself? You thought you were getting an easy victory, didn’t you? Well it didn’t work out: I came back and kicked your arse all over.”
Only an idiot would think Wilder was passing up on all the top 10 heavyweights to pull a former, coked up, retired champion as someone looking for a challenge. Next you’ll tell me Davis fighting Gamboa was him not cherrypicking.
Wilder got a draw on his record off that first failed cherry. And was still the favourite to KO Fury in the rematch. People forget Fury was still seen as a weak fighter, he could outbox Wilder, but he had to be “perfect”, and most weren’t expecting him to be able to.
I don't agree. You have created closure that fits your narrative... Could be, could not be. Fury was never considered a weak fighter. Not by people that know boxing.
Wilder ain't the problem and you know it.
Eddie Hearn has known since 2018. Once Wilder knocks out AJ. We'll never see Joshua again.

You're trying to introduce smack talk between Fury and Wilder as evidence that Wilder cherry picked Fury as a weak opponent?
Well, that's pretty silly.
Indeed, what that is, is Hating on and Disrespecting the 2nd best fighter of the flagship weightclass in the most modern incarnation of the only combat sport with true historical relevance. Period.
Fury had two fights against two pros to prepare for Wilder 1, and produced one of the greatest performances in ring history to salvage a draw. Just like Ali vs. Frazier.
I don't disrespect Wilder's coming up short in their trilogy any more than I would Frazier going 1-2 vs. Ali.
And I most certainly view Wilder's other two efforts against Fury as far better losses than:
Mike Tyson's losses to Douglas, Holyfield 1 & 2.
Holyfield's losses to Moorer and Lewis.
Lewis's losses to McCall and Rahman.
Bowe's 'losses' to Golata 1 and 2.
Vitali Klitschko's loss to Chris Byrd.
Wladamir Klitschko's losses to Ross Puritty, Sanders, Brewster and Fury.
Wilder knocked Fury flat 4 times, and even when he has an off night, he refused to quit and fired his trainer for throwing in the towel.
Charges from obviously 'casual level' fans that Wilder had fought "only bums" are inaccurate and poorly informed.
And that's the truth.
Just put Joshua or Usyk or Ruiz in there with Wilder and you'll get the Same kind of results as Wilder vs. Oritiz 1, Ortiz 2, Stiverne 1, Stiverne 2, Scott, Szpilka, Duhaupas, Arreola, Washington, Breazeale or Helenius.
That's my two cents.
Saudi Arabia are the only ones stupid enough to overpay for this fight and it's obviously delaying the rest of the HW division from moving forwards too and shaking up the order.
It would be ironic and funny if they backtracked and said "nope, no money for you two"

Thanks for spitting out the facts in Split Seconds.
Yeah he did lose... But he tried to avenge his defeat "derp" not the actions of someone looking for a cherry pick. Who cares what Wilder thought? It doesn't matter. It would matter if he decided not to rematch Fury.
And there you go constructing nonsense, like you know Wilder's motivations.
No, I would say he is one of the top tier heavyweights fighting the same competition as every other heavyweight right now, and... doing so at a similar pace. that is where the facts lead and it does not require me to try to read Wilder's mind you fuul!

Traditionally, A.J. hasn't done well in the US. Here's hoping the Saudis come through in the spring. It's a huge fight between 2 of the 5 best in the world, still close to prime, 17 Sucessful title defenses between them.
So there's absolutely no way this fight can happen in the US or UK because Wilder's team wants too much money?
If you want a neutral venue, why only consider Saudi Arabia when you can't even have ring girls displayed in that country. There's Beijing, China where boxing is gaining popularity because of Zhang. There's Germany, Africa, etc.
