He has basically been called out on his BS by the Saudis.
Turki Alalskikh is the guy in Saudi that has the say on all the events there and he said there's been a lot of rubbish talked about other fights there like AJ v Wilder but it's not true and its not true unless it comes from him.
For months Eddie kept saying "The Saudis are in town next week to do the deal" and it's "locked in for december" but now the top guy over there says it wasn't true.
As soon as he was called out on it, he started changing his tune and saying they were looking at different locations and stop mentioning Saudi, so why should we believe that?
I think most of it knew it wasn't happening in December, but now it looks like it was never even a possibility anyway if Eddie's lies are anything to by.
Hopefully someone will come in with a big offer they can't refuse and they'll fight, I'd love to see it, but it's time to ignore anything Hearn says about it.
An egotistical salesman oversold himself, why do you care so much? The best fight in boxing is on, these are good times, stop obsessing over Hearn.
That same egotistical salesmen set the sport back a decade by giving guys like Tevin Farmerb and Andrade seven figures per fight. But once again, I posted a single sentence. I know you're returning after a while, but you'll notice that I literally shit on EVERY promoter in boxing. This just happens to be a thread about Eddie.
Frank Smith is an absolute weapon
Absolutely
As much as i think Eddie is a snake like other promoters, he's still got charisma and I could see why some would find him quite likeable.
Frank Smith is a smarmy little prick and doesn't seem to have anything likeable or charming about his personality.
He's spent years slagging off Warren and now Warren is easily top dog in the UK again.
The two biggest UK fights last year were Warren's. Now he's seemingly the one able to get the big shows with the Saudi's. Eddie's mistake was underestimating a wiley old **** like Warren and burning bridges with people. Also thinking he didn't need the likes of Sky.
Matchroom in the UK is garbage now, yeah he's still got the odd decent fight like Wood v Warrington this weekend but they're at the back end of their career.
Gonna be a rough couple of years for Eddie when you look properly at his stable. Let's see if he has the resilience of Warren. That's why Eddie is starting to try to be respectful.
Although that Frank Smith lad doesn't seem to be doing them any favours in interviews.

You can tell that Eddie is dying to slag off Fury vs Ngannou, but he's so desperate for a relationship with the Saudis, he has to stay respectful, and it's killing him.

It doesn't take long for people to start trying to rewrite history. It won't wash though, because what Amer Abdullah really said is up online for anyone to hear.
He said the negotiations had already started when he was put in charge but he was involved in all the talks and, with the amount of money that was on the table, it was unbelievable to him that the fight couldn't get made.
And I don't know why you are throwing Eddie Hearn's name into the mix here. Eddie wasn't involved in the Fury/Usyk negotiations in any way.
Isn't that what I said also? We are talking about talks that wanted the doubleheader (AJ-WIlder and Fury-Usyk) to happen in Dec. 2022 and whose negotiations were going on after the AJ-Usyk 2 fight. That was almost a year ago. Usyk said he wasn't ready for December and the fight was to happen around Feb. That is the time Fury offered to fight AJ but AJ wasn't ready and we had those Fury deadlines before Fury went ahead and fought Chisora. Eddie's role is that he was involved in all the initial negotiations because he was close to Skills challenge.
He said they would "soon" send Fury a take-it-or-leave-it offer but we all know that never happened. Warren has been saying the Feb negotiations/offer got postponed to Apr because the stadium wasn't ready and we all know what happened since. Do realize that Prince Khalid or the guys running the Riyadh season aren't going to fund it themselves but they seek money from the Saudi sovereign fund which has a portion dedicated to promoting tourism, events, etc. Prince Turki is involved in that and if Skills Challenge wants to use it they apply to him...effectively making them the middlemen in the game but it worked prior to last year because Prince Khalid was favored and got things approved. Later, they thought the money wasn't being invested effectively and Turki, who is really close to MBS, got more involved and his favorite is the Riyadh season.
So, many of us knew around a year or so ago that Skills Challenge is no longer the player. Sure, they can make negotiations and make a proposal but they have to apply to Prince Turki to get the funds released and the chances of that were slim. When the riyadh season people want to make something, the proposing and issuing authorities are in sync.
I never revelled in Fury vs Usyk falling apart, you lying cunt.
And who else but Eddie has ever made a big world title fight S.A. anyway?
Yes you did you little weirdo.
See post above d***head.
Who else has made a big fight in Saudi? Eddie is the only one to do it so far.
Two f***ing YouTubers did it. :lol1: Think Warren may have been involved with it but I don’t really engage with that sh**.
Kalle Sauerland had the WBSS finals in Saudi too.
The Saudi’s will work with anyone, yet morons thought they’d only work with Hearn. :lol1:
He evidently wasn’t…
You were literally saying this earlier this year too when you were revelling in Fury-Usyk falling apart. Weird, weird little man.

I remember you telling me Eddie was the only guy who could make the big deals in Saudi. You were certainly WRONG about that. :lol1:

He was. He was also the only guy who could promote boxing on Sky. And Boris Johnson was Prime Minister. And the British national anthem was God Save the Queen. And Anthony Joshua was the unified world HW champ. And Deontay Wilder was the WBC HW champ ...

It's a shame Skill challenge have been ousted. Tbf, the guys behind it seems to be relatively knowledgeable and seemed to have a passion for boxing and not just 'events'.
Not that I agreed with their blood money building the sport, but everyone involved in the sport is a scumbag.
Skills Challenge were founded by Prince Khalid who is a big boxing fan. If they have been ousted, I reckon it will only be temporarily. The other prince, Turki, is in charge of running Riyhad Season. After the season is over, Skills Challenge will be back staging more boxing shows.
I told you what actually happened and you know that what I said is true, which is why you are resorting to childish insults.

It was obvious. The double header rumour started was started by simon jordanm it was a myth. Skills challenge head also isn't some guy with power he was jsut brought in to be the spokesperson he also said said no offers made from skills challenge yet everyone still believed eddies fake lies about getting an offer
Turki is the legit guy to make these fights he is minister in Saudi. Skills challenge are now irrelevant
