Is it messed up if Bud dont rematch Spence at 154?

Nope, PBC blackballed the man and slandered him for years & made him wait till he was 36 years old to finally get a shot at a belt. He owes them NOTHING. Now, if it was a close fight, I might agree, but this was a bludgeoning and there's no reason to think a few pounds is going to be the difference ESPECIALLY since nobody was talking about how Spence was weight drained when he was beating Porter, Ugas, and Garcia. If they'd fought Bud 5 years ago like they should have, they might've had a trilogy or quadrilogy by now. :rolleyes:

Spence is a pretty big draw going off his previous PPV fights- they’d try and market it as a grudge match too. I think he handles Thurman pretty comfortably too. Thurman is just looking to cash out IMO.

Curious... Would you rather see Bud v Spence at 154, or Bud V Charlo at 154, or Bud v Canelo at 168? For me personally, I'd prefer to see Bud take on Charlo at 154, whether the latter wins or loses against Canelo, and if he beats Charlo, then take on whoever is champion at 168. For Bud's sake, that ought to be Canelo just because I doubt Charlo becomes a huge cash cow even if he beats Canelo. I don't care about the Boots or Stanionis fights. Both those guys need to stay active. I'd like to see them fight at 147 for a vacant belt, TBH, and I would like to see Spence v Vergil Ortiz Jr or Tim Tszyu at 154.

Because he doesn't really want it he is looking ahead at Canelo Charlo etc, I don't see how they could pay for the fight its not going to generate anywhere near what it did and the fighters want more money than the first time, the fall out to all of it will be IF Errol looks really good at his 154 debut, then the weight asterisk will be hanging over the 147 fight until its settled at a higher weight, so for me it all depends on Errols next performance. if it's at 154 then they can use that to sell the fight... "you will see a new spence at 154".... although the rematch will not sell as much as a fight with TC and canelo...I still think the rematch with TC vs spence will do better than TC vs charlo.

So that’s what it should be BUT BUT BUT if Crawford truly wants to prove his greatness. HE SHOULD fight at 154-160. Why? First to prove how great he is and 2nd to show he’s really trying to get up to 168 to fight Canelo. He should also fight a top 168 guy like Plant before Canelo.
