If Arturo Gatti had hired Manny Stewart to improve his defense & all around boxing skills, Gatti would have been way better than he showed.
He was a tough fighter with poor defense because he didnt have quality trainers. Stewart would have made hige improvements on Gatti. Too bad we never saw Gatti's full potential.
Gatti was a tough guy that could box and he is a HOF fighter as he was in a number of classics.
To say he couldn't fight is an ignorant statement, I liked him at 135 I thought that was his best weight, his Robinson fights were great fights, he could box was extremely durable and had a never-say-die attitude

One thing for sure was the entertainment value of Gatti's fights.
Gatti had boxing skills, he showed that in the Patterson and Ward wins. If a boxer had more skills he could not out skill them plus he turned punches too much and that made him an easy target. He generated a lot of torque with it but his defense suffered a lot.
Gatti was untalented potato sack POS. Nowhere near ATG or even HoF.
Dummy dogfight merchants made him popular.
At least show some respect to the dead.
Gatti seemed like a cool dude. RIP.

Ahhh,……no
His only claim to fame was his ability to rehydrate from 130 to 155. Once he got old and couldn’t do that anymore. He started loosing.
