Shakur Stevenson, the most overrated fighter in planeta.

This guy Is totally overrated by the media and casual fans. What he did in boxing? Ok, good thing be 2 division champ, but His rivals were very low level fighters. His best win Is against Oscar Valdez, another overrated champion without great skills, power or stamina, Navarrete, a guy without fanbase here in México destroyed Valdez pretty Easy, in better fashion that Stevenson and probably took His career because the punishment. There Is a Golden Law in boxing: You are that good, if you beat great fighters. USA media are selling this guy like the next Floyd or legend, why? His resume Is not top-15 worldwide. His chin Is not proven yet. Whats the problem? This guy Is not humble, he Is talking without respect of any fighters included former legends, he Is just in love with his boyfriend Crawfords. The kid Is not respecting any fighter, he only say "Easy work Easy work, that kid Is nothing im Superman". Thats not the correct way to be a great Champion in this sport, hard sport. That energy would be against him. His best win Is against Valdez a guy without jab, very short arms, mediocre power (he did not K O any durable fighter, Berchelt chin was not great AND he was sick of COVID), AND Valdez Is horrible cutting the ring. You cant be that arrogant when your career Is pretty ordinary in elite levels. His defense Is overrated, His chin Is unproven and His power Is garbage. He Is too a weight bully. Edwin de Los Santos would be his first hard rival. Fighters with explosive power, speed and K.O power could very well K.O this guy. Or guys like GGG or Gonzalez style. He Is not a future Floyd or Crawford because he has not that kind of quality. Its pretty obvious.

You don't see people ling up to fight him do you? That tells you what you need to know. Guys who are lower profile than him want more money to fight him. Guys who are higher profile than him want to lowball him out of fights. Just like his big brother.

Lol Shakur is a generational talent and undoubtedly a future #1 p4p fighter (especially after training with Ward+Crawford). However, the only 'ch1nks' in his armour are a) lack of power (50% KO ratio) b) chin untested c) flat-footed. Having said that, he seems to be developing his 'man strength' lately as he dropped Valdez and knocked out 2 of his last 4 opponents including Herring. Also, he has a very high fight IQ and an excellent sense of distance/timing which is probably why he's very difficult to tag clean and doesn't move his feet much. In other words, whenever this kid fights, I'm betting the HOUSE on him :lol1:

When Floyd was the same years old than Shakurs Floyds resume was way better than the actual resume of Crawford For example, better names. For example Castillo was like 5 times better than Valdez. Who knows? Nobody fights each other... Until a fighter deals with adversity it is hard to look at them comprehensively. Someonme brought up Judah. Well interestingly enough, one interesting aspect of this comparison is when Judah fought Zoo. He literally came apart at the seams. The chicken dance was invented, along with the idea that if you cannot punch your opponent, hit the ref.

Bro, im the More objetive póster on here. Today in the thread about Zepeda I said he Is a pretty meh fighter. I dont care if a boxer Is not from my country or not. For example I always said that Valdez was overrated. Look, when I looked Rigondeaux I see great great talent, I was impressed, the same with Gervonta or Crawford. This guy would be a very good champion but not a legend, His reach Is being a Champion like Porter, Charlo, those kind of champions not like Floyd, Crawford, Mosley, etc. You need to see what the media Is making in the hype of this guy, its obsene, and you need to look the arrogant attitude of this guy , thats not how boxing works. That's the problem. They say he's overrated this, overhyped that, fought no one blah blah. But when you ask them why Martin ran away from an opportunity such as this, they have no answer. Frank running away from an almost perfect opportunity to show his wares and exposed an overyhyped, overrated fighter is perfect evidence of someone being ducked in broad daylight. What more evidence does anyone need? Lol thats because the money. You mean Shakur is more technically superior to Judah? Sure but lots of fighters were more technically superior to Roy Jones or Ali, does not mean they were more gifted. I don't see any amazing gifts or attributes from Shakur. He has good speed, timing but nothing exceptional. He does not have big reach, and lacks power, so I think he will struggle once he fights skilled opponents his own size or bigger. Comparing Shakur to Judah is stupid. Terrible comparison.
