I was super hyped for the first fight, travelled over to Vegas from the UK, however, the proposed rematch honestly does nothing for me. I think we, conclusively, already know who the better fighter is.
While the first fight was extremely one sided, I think Spence is a well respected former champion who deserves a shot if he wants it.
I personally do not see any issues with a rematch after the champion loses, especially in a unification bout. It should be one of the privileges of being a champ.
I'd much rather have a Haney - Loma rematch than see this one again. Prefer to see them when the fight is close. This would be for curiosity's sake, to see if it was a fluke, or the weight, etc, just to satisfy Crawford haters who will never be satisfied anyways.
spence after crawford looked like cotto after pacquiao was done with him.
this rematch would be like if pacquiao never fought margarito and instead took an immediate rematch against cotto at 154 after their first fight.
it's possible there may be less knockdowns, but crawford would still hurt him or worse, beat spence so bad, that he would probably never win another world title after, and would be a walking corpse for anybody there.
spence should've taken a tune up at 154 like a thurman or something.
it will be difficult for spence to enter the hall of fame after this. bradley barely made it in and yet, he still has a better record than spence.
Only Manny wanted a rematch for Cottos 154 titles and Cotto said no problems only no CW and Manny said no fight without a CW, Terrence wont duck Spence like that he believes he can beat Errol at any weight, Manny did not believe that about Cotto.

Good comparison.
I reckon Spence makes the HOF though- the standards aren’t that high these days.

That's pretty optimistic of you but do you really think a Crawford-Spence rematch can generate those types of numbers when the first fight was such a foregone conclusion?
I mean, people were shocked how easily Crawford dispatched Spence, so much so that the so called 50-50, "superfight," turned out to be a disappointing dud.
Good luck trying to get the casuals to spend almost another 100$ on Crawford-Spence 2.
Yeah I can’t see a rematch drawing anywhere near as much as the first fight did. The intrigue has dissipated.
If money & age wasn't part of the equation I'm sure he would. But this rematch is probably a $20M-25M check & how many cats are turning that down? And if he took a year off he'll be almost 35 by the time he fights again & boxing isn't very forgiving with age in non-HW divisions. This fight is likely his last big super fight type payday, esp if he loses the rematch, so $$$-wise the move is take the rematch.

I'll watch with the hope that somehow Spence was so weight drained it made him look like a fighter with serious neurological problems.
but I think he has brain damage and if so, wish the fight was not happening.
Not really but I’d be more interested than I was for Smith-Eubank 2 and that was an unexpected result.
I really doubt that happens here but if the rematch has to happen, I hope it’s at 154.
