The Usyk V Dubois fight has turnied into a viral controversy for very valid points.
Many aspects to unravel but I would opt for the responses to unravel the aspects in the thread.
Do you think Dubois' punsh in round 5 was a low blow or clean?
I think it was a perfectly clean shot.
I do think it was a legal punch, but I'm not totally sure it was a fight winner although it possibly was.
Those punches hurt, and I think usy k embarrassed it had that effect on him, but if it landed 4 inches higher it would have had same effect I think.
But usy k can disguise the idea that he has a.weak body, by claiming it was low and that he in fact isn't weak and susceptible to bodyshots
Very well said, I completely agree.
Yeah, and the thing about it is, when punched hard enough to the stomach, everyone would writhe in pain. It has been shown time and time again historically in the sport, the right body shot will send anyone to the floor in agony.
Note-Usyk did the same when AJ hit him to the body and made it look like a low blow to influence the ref.

I'm sure usy k thought it was low at the timeas it hurt so damn much at the time. But in a private moment watching slo mo vids, usy k might feel he's used up one of his nine lives if he was a cat.

What's confusing is he hit the belt, so was the trunks too low?
The thing about it is that usyk's trunks were quite above his belly button while they were fighting and when he got hit, which is why this is so controversial.
Seems there's a correlation between the people who think it wasnt low and them being Fury lovers.
I did at first think it was legal, but after seeing the evidence, it was clearly not. I can't really understand why you would think it still is after seeing the images and the reaction (in comparison to the 50 other body lunches DDD landed.)
Why can't boxing fans just be honest instead of having ulterior motives? Don't we just want to see people fight?
You are definitely off with your assumption on 'Fury lovers' .
There are many with legit honest opinions who think the contrary, doesn't mean they are 'Fury lovers', what kind of assumption is that, you are off bud.
Only Usyk knows really. Different angles show a different story but in real time it certainly didn't look obviously low so whatever way you look at it Usyk basically called it. The ref was incidental. He might as well not have been there.
Although do believe Usyk when he says he would have got up if the ref counted.
Then again Dubois would probably have finished him if that happened.
That's how I see it well said man.
In real time it looked very clean. The way Usyk reacted definitely did influence and pretty much dictate the ref's call too.
Yeah i feel if it had been a count, Dubois would have went for the kill on a hurt Usyk.
