Otherwise, he can't be taken seriously anymore. A man can't claim to be the best after winning through blatant cheating and home cooking.

No he doesn`t. F.uck Dubois, he is pathetic. If he was the man, he would have dropped Usyk again, leaving no doubts. Except that shot, Dubois had nothing in this fight.
If the ref has made a bad call that fundamentally affected the fight then, yes, I absolutely think he should get a rematch ordered.
Obviously I'd prefer Undisputed, but if the champion has fought his mandatory challenger and the result is unsatisfactory then he should rematch.
Maybe he would have got up... maybe he wouldn't have. If he had got up then he'd have been in trouble. Maybe he'd have weathered it maybe it wouldn't.
They can't just move on just because we want a different fight. Dubois wasn't a voluntary - he'd earned that mandatory position.
The thing is with the ref’s call, we’re still debating it with replays and still images etc meaning there’s enough grey area to give him the benefit of the doubt. I thought it was on the belt line but Usyk won convincingly otherwise.
The call was ambiguous enough, I don’t see Dubois doing any better in a rematch and there’s no point in delaying the division any further over an ambiguous call. It’s not clear enough to warrant all that.

I agree. The referee had done him dirty. Moreover, I thought it was very tasteless and cowardly of Usyk to lie on the ground that long in order to show up Dubois in order to get him DQd.
Also, by constantly complaining to the referee each and every time Dubois landed a legitimate punch to his body. Daniel Dubois should be crowned the new unified Heavyweight champion of the world.
It was a clean punch. If a punch lands anywhere on the waistline then it's ruled a legal punch.
Nah he cherry picked his way to a shot after joyce made him quit, landed a low blow when he got his shot and went down twice to jabs. He needs to get back in line and rebuild
He didn't cherry pick.
He fought who he needed to fight.
Obviously the ref makes the call, and it was borderline so I can see how he made that decision but in my opinion it was a legit body shot.
Let’s say you weren’t on the fence and thought it was a legal blow, do you think the outcome would be different in a rematch?
Is it worth delaying better matchups and a potential undisputed fight for another Usyk-Dubois fight?
I think Usyk would’ve got up and weathered the storm had the ref started counting and the fight would’ve ended the same way. We don’t know for sure but I don’t think Dubois would’ve had it in him to finish Usyk nor do I think he’ll do any better in a rematch.
It’s best to move on.

I'm undecided on the legality. It's a borderline call and the ref ultimately makes that decision.
What I can't understand is anyone who believes it was legal but that Usyk should just move on.
I couldn't possibly think those two things.

Dubois needs to rematch Lerena
I thought the punch was legal but I'd rather not see a rematch, Dubois would get stopped/quit again.

It’s funny this is the forum as well who hates rematches but now the majority wants one . It’s really a boxing oxy moron and ironic situation,in truth boxing fans are so dumb they don’t want the better fight and move on to lesser ones even though the fight prior was better ? Man boxing fans are dumb .
Dubois laid Usyk flat with a legal punch. Usyk's "reign" hereafter is meaningless if he doesn't prove that he can beat Dubois fair. An asterisk for the rest of his career. Also, the irony of you of all people calling people dumb. You are 60 years old and pick fights on an internet forum. Silly old fart.
I don't want it I was answering from the thread context, I want Fury next and then I don't care, Im not into the HW division much I like the smaller guys that can really fight.
Im with you bro.
Heavy Weight division sux bad.
135 to 175 is the guys that can fight
If that fight had been on neutral ground it would have been a Dubois win... C'mon now. Dubois knocked Usyk out with a body shot. But Usyk still holds the belts. What is this?
Bro we're is this Neautral ground. In the UK.?
How you know he wouldn't get up if he got counted.
Just let it go bro.
Too many guys crying over a call that could go either way.
The right man won the fight.
Dubious be crap.
He won maybe 2 rounds.
Maybe you just want Fury to have an easy road to undisputed.
Hmmm
It just be a waste off time for Usyk.
He has bigger fights to look forward to.
Do you really want to rematch Usyk dominate him unril he quits again

Because that's how a fighter fixes controversy, and controversial rematches always generate good revenue.

Lol.
Why does he have to fight him again.
He made him quit.
Daniel probably don't even want that mental strain again
