Did you know use of prescription opioids are permitted by NSAC?
Been hearing about Spence getting a rib injury before the Crawford fight and that he was on pain killers which made him sleepy, supposedly. This has not been confirmed by Spence, his team, PBC or the NSAC
I always thought these drugs were banned by NSAC but that isn't true.
This was found on USADAs website, NSAC doesn't have an easily viewable list but I'm seeing that they follow WADA and USADAs guidelines
Here's the permitted list of pain killers in Nevada:
Pain/Anti-Inflammatory: acetaminophen
(Tylenol), aspirin, celecoxib (Celebrex), codeine (T#3,
T#4), diclofenac (Voltaren), gabapentin,hydrocodone
(Norco, Vicodin), ibuprofen (Advil), ketorolac (Toradol),
meloxicam (Mobic), naproxen (Aleve), pregabalin
(Lyrica), tapentadol (Nucynta), tramadol (Ultram,
Ultracet), piroxicam (Feldene)
The ones that stand out to me are Tramadol, Vicodin, Codeine, and gabapentin, shocked that those are allowed.
