He keeps parroting to the media this week that Wilder hasn’t fought a Top 5 ranked opponent after saying it on Gareth Davies’ podcast and he’s said the same thing about Fury also in the past in comparison to AJ who’s apparently beaten a long list.
According to The Ring Magazine from what I can gather, the Top 5 ranked wins AJ has are;
Klitschko
Parker
Povetkin
Ruiz
So 4 in total.
Wilder has;
Stiverne
Ortiz x2
So 3 in total.
And Fury has
Klitschko
Wilder x2
Whyte
So in total 4.
So, AJ and Fury both have 4 and Wilder has 3.
So why does Hearn act like it’s some blowout when it’s objectively not?
If I’ve missed anyone let me know but it looks that way from what I can gather from The Rings archives.
AJ went throught the gauntlet early in his career. No one was talking not fighting Vlad b/c he had a baby bottle and he wasn't fighting lames in front of 3900 people. Boxing fans continue to prove Uncle Bob correct when he starts talking about kicking rocks around in any direction.
Literally just stating the facts in response to Hearn’s claim but ok.

Doesn't really interest me what they did years ago. They need to fight each other now and add Usyk into the mix. So, Wilder vs AJ and Fury vs Usyk, then Wilder vs Usyk and Fury vs AJ. That would be something worth keeping count of.
