I think pbc is going ro keep them away from him tbh. He made their beat ww look like a chump. Hed wash garcia and thurman on the same night
Thurman and Garcia have already taken losses but only to top tier opposition (Thurman only to Pac, Garcia only to Porter, Spence, and Thurman). Taking a loss to Crawford does nothing to hurt either of their legacies or drawing power. They'd still be worth the same in fights with the up-and-comers. It would be much more dangerous to throw Danny or Keith in there with an unproven guy first and have them look washed or rusty. Then they'd be worthless in fights with Crawford, Spence, Charlo, etc.
Again, I agree. Crawford isn’t the most active either but if he fights twice a year until , let’s say 38. He could squeeze them in.
they’re not legacy defining fights but they are legacy fights in the sense that he would have then beaten every big name peer during his era.
of coarse the route depends on the belts at 154 and how that shakes out.
In that scenario I guess I wouldn't mind the Garcia fight as (I think) he's ranked and he can test the weight.
Ideally though I would rather he just jump in with the Championn(s)
No need to waste time,
I don't think they're the worst fights in the world but I think Crawford is pushed for time at age 36 (almost)

I agree. But why not squeeze these two fights in as well?

His priorities should be
1. Charlo (unified, Ring, and lineal champion)
2. Tszyu (soon to be WBO titlist)
3. Mendoza (WBC interim titlist)
If, and only if, he can't get those guys should he consider guys like Errol Spence, Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia, Brian Castano, Tony Harrison, etc.
Basically, either someone with a belt or someone with a name.
Tszyu is most logical
Let's be real, Charlo is not coming back down 2 divisions back to 154. For a start it'll probably be difficult for him physically, it never really works out well. Plus he will have just made plenty of money fighting Canelo. I don't see him having a great incentive to get back to 154 anytime very soon. I'm 100% sure those belts will be vacated and fragmented.
Tszyu on the other hand will become WBO champion. In their rules, if Crawford vacates his 147 WBO title, he becomes mandatory for Tszyu at 154. So Crawford gets an automatic shot and Tim can't avoid it unless he vacates. Then Crawford wins and has a 154 bargaining chip to make unifications to become undisputed
plus Australia might put up some good money to make that fight like they did for Kambosos v Haney and Manny v Horn.
What a waste of Crawford to fight shot fighters, he is nearly 36 only a few fights left make them count.
100%.
only huge fights now. Jermell for undisputed then Jermall for legendary status. Then retire.
Boots is the only logical opponent but I wouldnât mind Bud taking Thurman fight, big payday and little threat with inactive Keith.
I don't want to see Thurman get stopped only to say he was shot, his form is terrible, in the words of TC about Thurman, he is irrelevant!
Ennis should try to unify a few belts at 147 and then move up and try to get a Crawford fight in a couple years. At the moment Ennis does nothing for Crawford. Right now he's fighting for legacy. He needs the lineal title (Charlo), he needs active titlists (Tszyu and maybe soon Mendoza), and if he can't get those fights he needs big name former worl (Thurman, Garcia, Harrison, Castano).
But if Ennis can say he's the reigning unified champion at 147 moving up to 154, suddenly he does have something to add to Crawford's legacy.
I don’t disagree with you, that’s a good assessment.
Charlo fight might take a while now with an inevitable Canelo loss and the belt organizations already eating away at his undisputed claim. Doubt he returns to 154 after a loss to take on the dangerous Crawford. Tim is a good fight and logical for another weight trinket belt but very little marketability and in with a huge puncher.
Ennis should take on Stanionis or even better, fight Tim for his belt and force a Bud fight.

I don’t see Charlo fight as realistic anymore. After the inevitable Canelo loss I don’t think he comes back down to 154.
