Crazy. I figured since he looked good against Danny Garcia, and even if he didn’t look at his best vs Ugas, he still ended up getting the KO, I thought he was fine.
I figured he was sparring, and so I thought that any issues that could’ve been there, would’ve come up in his camp regarding his condition, or where he was at neurologically.
I know he has a southern drawl and he normally does have a slow speech. I haven’t seen many interviews with him.
But it really didn’t look like your typical Errol Spence in there last Saturday. He really did look very off. And regarding the balance that the doctor brought up. Looking back at it, I remember a spot in the bout, where Crawford doubled and tripled up on the right hook. It forced Spence to move laterally. And it didn’t look like the hooks were landing super clean or hard, but they were forcing Spence to move to his side and he was badly off balance when it happened. He almost went down from it.
Very sad. We can only imagine what would’ve been if he didn’t have that car accident.
Even if you don’t buy it, you have to admit his punch resistance was obviously diminished. Painfully obvious. Terence has a strong jab, sure but he was getting constantly hurt and dropped from them when he’s never touched the canvas before? And then the Dr took a look at him after the 2nd despite not having much damage.
I'm not buying this. He'll be okay. I always believe the human body is capable of healing itself as long as you don't abuse it by drinking alcohol, smoking, bad eating habits, etc. I expect him to do better in the rematch at 154.
Boxing is literal abuse on the body. From training to taking punches.
I saw this video a few hours ago and it's troubling. Of course he suffered trauma from the accident, but hearing this from a neurologist puts it in a different light, particularly knowing what boxers can experience from their careers alone.
I don't think it'll change Errol's mind about anything (even though it should). He's a throwback fighter.

Did you watch the full interview? He has a point. Spence looked worse than Benavidez.
