Crawford and Spence are more than likely going to leave the division rematch or not and that leaves Boots on his own in what really is the weakest upcoming WW era in my lifetime.
Ortiz is as good as done way too many health issues, Stanionis is B+, Rashidi isn’t what was hoped so Boots has the same issue as Inoue he’s going to look spectacular vs what is really terrible or average competiton
He won’t be facing Crawford and not because anyone is scared but because Showtime and Boots handlers are not going to let him lose vs Crawford when he can wait 6 months and dominate welterweight for the next 5 years etc
154 isn’t exactly stacked either and by the time Boots wins the straps at WW crawford and spence will be gone from 154 so are we going to see boxing next generational talent facing no competition?
He should keep himself busy. What is there to wait for, anyways? He wanted Spence because of his Showtime connection, at least that was their reasoning. What should he do now that all the belts are outside of Showtime's control?
I would love to see him fighting Crawford, but if he is smart, he will stay away from Crawford. Why lose to Crawford now? Crawford will likely retire in 2 years and than Boots can take on 147 and 154 division. Until than he can fight Crowley, Stanionis, Rocha and others. If he beats all of them, he becomes bigger name.
Boots Ennis is signed to Showtime, while Bud Crawford is not signed to any network. Guess who is expected to make real efforts to make this fight happen?
If Boots is smart, he stays away from Crawf and fights Stanionis. Crawf will leave that boy lookin like Spence lil fish@ss.
Showtime/PBC cant afford to have their up n coming "star" made to look basic as Spence looked.
Trust me he will. he's gonna keep his goddamn mouth shut until Crawford has a fight signed, THEN he's gonna come out and say he's being ducked.
Boots doesn't want to fight anyone. He's like a goddigging lazy b1tch. He wants all of the praise and glamour, but don't want to put in the work for it.
Don't know how long Boots can make 147. I would say he needs to fight Stanionis ASAP. Then Thurman/Ugas to clean up the old guard, and Alexis Rocha and Cody Crowley to clean out the rest of the named contenders.
Then there's guys like Spence, Charlo, Tszyu, Xander Zayas, Bakram Murtazaliev, and maybe Liam Smith, Sebastian Fundora, Lubin, etc, at 154. Crawford will almost certainly be retired before Boots finishes at 147 though, especially with the inactivity of Ennis.

His 1st move should be to get the Stanionis fight. That way when Bud moves up/vacates, the winner will be the full WBA champ. If Boots is successful against Stanionis than the Thurman vs Ugas winner should be available.
Bud fight or collect the belts. He could also move up, he’s a huge WW.
not sure Bud is moving up right away. He said he’d consider it to challenge Charlo but Mell is most likely not coming back after the Canelo whooping.
