If Spence beats Bud does he have a better run at Welter than Floyd?

Any top WW who wants to he taken seriously and be a HOF WW, who only fought at WW, and whose majority of fights were at WW, should absolutely aim to have a better resume than Mayweather at WW. Bare minimum. Why? Mayweather had 34 fights under 147, and 16 at 147 and above. That’s 68% of his career taking place below 147. That’s equal to Spence moving up to 160-168 and fighting there until 40 years old, beating top 10 fighters up there, staying undefeated. That's a good point. You'd expect a career WW who's P4P fighter to have a better record than a guy who was there for his 4th weight class. But even still, Floyd's is better I'd say.

Floyd as great as he is, hasn’t fought anyone at the same level as current Spence and Crawford at welterweight. Pac was only 35 when he fought him, but clearly lost a step already, has been planked few fights ago and hasn’t had a KO in like 6 years. Crawford still at his peak, no extreme wear and tear and no losses and Spence at 33 is also on top of his game. Maybe prime Hatton? But that dude ain’t beating Spence or Crawford. So yep, spence would be a greater ATG welterweight than floyd. Wouldn’t necessarily mean he’d beat Floyd. Agreed. Not saying he’d be a greater P4P fighter overall than Floyd. But as a Welter ATG? Yes.

It's criticized because people around the globe think he cherrypicked you don't end your career fighting a c fighter like Andre Berto if you don't want to be criticized that was on him he steered his whole welterweight run stop making excuses Where did I make any excuses? Why is Floyd held to totally different standards than anyone else? I mean I have literally never ever heard another fighter be criticised for the opponent selection of their last fight. Did anyone criticise Holmes for fighting Butterbean in his last fight? Just about every great fighter in history went out facing a soft touch. Its very common for fighters to retire on a soft touch in their hometown. And the thing is most of Buds WW opponents are actually worse than Berto lol, straight up.

Floyd's WW resume isn't all that. Pace got better resume than floyd Huh? He beat Manny at ww. Manny doesnt have any win as good. Manny also lost multiple times at ww to really low quality boxers.

While imo Floyd has more quality wins- Zab, Shane, Hatton. Manny, Maidana 2x, JMM- if Spence has the volume, undisputed and a win over Bud would make it him by a slight bit.

Floyd’s welterweight resume is terrible. What prime undefeated fighters did he beat? Great skills but resume is just not there. Everyone he fought outside Maidana was coming off multiple stoppage losses. Facts not feelings.

If Crawford beats Spence in a clear and methodical way, could it mean the guys he fought were just a tad average and overrated, and Errol's resume was really not something to brag about? It would mean they were all good but Crawford is that guy.

Hatton isn't Floyds best win at WW his only win at the weight was Collazo and many felt he lost that fight. Say what who was more prime and undefeated than Hatton when those two sqared off don't say that c fighter Marcos Madonna
