Sadly I called it Vergil Ortiz his health will never be the same, if he fought on Saturday he could have been seriously injured. | BoxingScene Community
Its sad, A up and coming star with an exciting power punching style, but that condition he had is serious he had it multiple times, muscle wasting even if he didnt faint this week, if he entered that ring he could have seriously been hurt so its like a blessing in disguise.
His father has to have a talk, we know his son is his cash cow but think of the boys health, he will not have the same POWER he had before his muscles are weaker due to the illness where you piss your muscles away.
This is one of those sad things, but its going to be risky for him to fight again. The only thing I can think of is if he takes two years off to fully recover, that Rhabdo hit him hard and his body never fully recoverd he had it twice already.
Disappointing cause i thought Ortiz Boots would be the future Pac May - Craw Spence as in the 2 stand outs in future if 147. That ain't happening now Ortiz aint fighting at 147. And i don't know if he will fight at even 154 if your collapsing and fainting do you want to keep risking boxing or draining to cut any weight. If no one was with him when he collapsed could have been worse or if something happened in the ring after taking punches to the head.

I agree. He has to retire now. That is a serious condition which can easily lead to death.
