This Canelo-Charlo fight is a joke. Pure circus act.
Charlo doesn't stand a chance same way Marquez and Rigondeaux didn't.
Fool me once...blah blah blah you know the rest.
I see this quote quite a bit on here. If Canelo wasn't a natural 168 pounder wouldn't he still be able to fight at 160? I doubt he can still make 160. 168 is his current natural weight.
Natural as in, Canelo didn't begin or start his career at that weight class, he came up from 154.
168 is Canelo's maximum weight limit or his ceiling. Anything higher than 168 and Canelo will lose again.
Power, muscle mass, and durability are real factors. "Sweet science" determines the equal playing field and who has advantages.Hella easy to promote around that thou. $$$$
Canelo isn't a natural 168 lber and Charlo has the frame and size to fight at that weight, it's not that bad but it probably would've of been better if Charlo took a warm up fight first.

Mikey-Spence, Brook-Golovkin, etc. these fights always end one sided as would be the logical thinking.
maybe have to go back to Mosley-DLH or Hopkins-Tarver when a guy leaped up in weight classes and got it done.
Good shout on Hopkins-Tarver. I never thought Tarver would get back down to 175 after blowing up to Heavyweight for the Mason Dixon role he did for the Rocky movie.
And Mosley had a couple fights at 147 before the DelaHoya fight which was smart on his part.
And what is it when fight night weight is into the second weight class and within a few pounds of the opponent, you guys get all up about paper divisions without understanding the relevance of in the fights, look at Manny 130 weighin 144 fightnight,,,, goes to WW steps in at 144 ,,,, what does this mean to you?
All fighters rehydrate after weigh-ins that's nothing new. Canelo and Charlo will still be a couple weight classes apart on fight night.

mosley was already at 147 and had beaten a top 10 opponent before fighting hoya.
Yeah but two weight classes is two weight classes. Charlo doesn't stand a chance same way Marquez and Rigo didn't. Loma, Mayweather and Canelo are/were top level fighters. They're not losing to anyone coming up two weight classes. Not by a long shot.
This fight's a joke.

His Manson are Benavidez (WBC) and Morrell (WBA) so we know why that’s not happening.
I'm really hoping that third PBC fight is against Benavidez but at this point I'm done holding my breath.
no one was saying floyd was ducking marquez. anti loma fans were saying he was ducking rigo which was absurd since rigo turned the fight down before when it was only 1 weight division. still no reason to make the fight but that at least gave them some reason. floyd marquez came out of nowhere. just bizarre cherry picking
I really wish we got Loma/Rigo at 126 and Loma/Mikey at 130
But boxing is cruel
Oh god out of those two turds whew that's a tough one. Both horrible no point in shining one of them up. Anyone in the top 10 of his weight class would have been fine. Or a freaking mando to one of his 4 belts for Pete's sake.

All pointless easily predictable outcomes though. Bizarro world stuff. Hope it bombs at the box office.
I thought the Rigo fight would be closer TBH, just due to styles.
honestly, which would have been worse? This BS? Or Badou Jack at 180?

I was more fine with those fights TBH. Floyd had been inactive for two years, and Rigo turned the fight down when it was proposed at 126
not saying those were good fights BTW, just that they were more justifiable. Charlo is inactive over a year with an injury.

As a long time Mayweather and Lomachenko fan, I now see why people hated on the Marquez and Rigondeaux fights. | BoxingScene Community
