Ruiz has comfortably the best win. There's a massive gap between that and anything on Wilder's resume.
As for overall resume - you can't discount title defences. Wilder didn't exactly get assigned tough mandatories, but they're still all title defences.
Wilder is an odd fighter. We already know how the fight goes. Ruiz is the much better boxer and comfortably outboxes him. Wilder loses rounds and hopes he can land one shot. If he doesn't, then he loses by a wide decision.
It's hard to think much of someone who only has a puncher's chance in any top level fight. But he does make a lot of his only weapon.
It has been said, Wilder's most impressive wins are his losses to Fury.
Fury is good so no shame in.losing to fury. But my only problem with wilder is, is that I don't think Ruiz would lose to Fury by ko like wilder did.
So I need to put wilder below Ruiz accordingly, and Ruiz beat josh. Wilder beats Josh then I put wilder above Ruiz and Josh, it's that simple. Or better stll, wilder can beat Ruiz himself, what's wilder waiting for?
I guess Ruiz. His win over AJ was better than any of Wilders wins, and he did on paper beat Ortiz too although in reality it was contentious and Ortiz was 79 instead of a spry 56 like when Wilder beat him.
But there is a valid argument that Ruiz actually beat Parker too.
I think it's not even debatable that Ruiz's resume is far better than Wilder's. Wilder has always been a protected champion, beating up tomato cans and his fighting Fury was more like a miscalculation on his otherwise very protective management team than bravery or building a legacy or whatever. They simply thought Fury would be easy pickings and they got it wrong, that's all there is to the most impressive part of Wilder's resume.
Ruiz is better. Wilder getting too credit for being being knocked out by fury and Ruiz beat josh and wilder playing catch up, we want to see if wilder can.

Than why has he ranked so highly the last five years? Anyone who makes the statement "absolute horrible" to describe him has no boxing knowledge.
I watched him fight Junior Fa, Alex Leapai, Anthony Joshua, and Joe Joyce.
He sucks a giant pile of monkey ass.
Ruiz beat Parker by most peoples' opinion so how is that a bad loss? And Joshua did nothing in the win to impress anyone. Ruiz didn't get knocked down in that fight.
Parker is absolutely horrible. Always has been.
Ortiz outboxed Wilder. Wilder has Ortiz at best other than Fury.
Ortiz outboxed Ruiz, too. He was just so old he could barely stand up. But boxing scene still scored the fight 113-112 Ortiz despite 3 knockdowns. You can say Ortiz outboxed Wilder all you want, but Wilder knocked him out twice in the end. And Ortiz was 5 years younger the first time around than he was against Ruiz. 43 is ancient.
Ortiz and Arreola are literally Ruiz's 2nd and 3rd best wins and they were both obliterated by Wilder many years before and completely shot by the time Ruiz got to them.
Ruiz has two worse losses (Joshua and Parker) than Wilder's two Fury losses.
Not much to argue either way. Other than Fury who does Wilder have? His sparring partner? Ortiz? At least Ruiz was in with Parker. I don't see anyone other than Fury that can match up to Parker on Wilder's list.
Ruiz lost to Parker and performed far, far worse than Wilder did against Luis Ortiz, Chris Arreola, and Siarhei Liakhovich.
And Wilder beat Stiverne twice, once while he was ranked in the top 4 and the reigning WBC heavyweight titlist.

Wilder vs Fury
Ruiz has one really good win and that's about it. Arreola got stopped by Wilder in 2016 and then dropped Ruiz and took him the distance in 2021. Wilder stopped Ortiz in 2018 and 2019, Ruiz struggled badly with him in 2022. Wilder stopped Liakhovich in 1 round in 2013, Ruiz went the distance with him in 2014.
Wilder's resume isn't that good either but it's lightyears ahead of Ruiz's.
