I’m a boxing fan, so I appreciated him during his days in the sport. Tbh, I have hated him some days and I have supported him in some, just in between which mostly depends on the topic. But for someone who is considered one of the greatest in the sport, arguably the TBE, man these exhibitions are really getting lame. I get the points “he is retired can do what he wants bla bla bla” “he still makes a lot of money of out of it so its nonna my business bla bla”. But man c’mon.. dragging these nobodies.. looking like a loser still trying to squeeze every dime til its no more. It’s like watching a retired and old Michael Jordan playing against unknown street ballers then breaking a fight against them and for a few cents of his net worth… that’s just looks even classier.
I used to get it against the Conors and Paul’s of the world, I thought these would only be for mega events, but now it’s just whoever loser he can get to sign. I mean it completely looks like “I still wants to make money out of the sport but knows I can no longer compete in the pros so i’ll get these losers instead.” Maybe that’s okay, or maybe that’s just getting lame.
Am I the only one?
Criticism and hate are two different things you of all fools should know that, if you want to see pure chronic hate spewing like a sewer pipe read your own posts.
You hate that Floyd gets criticized
I have a view that the media are the biggest distorters of truth there is so I never just swallow what their status quo is, I guess it comes from my many years of fighting media and politicians concerning the American Pitbull Terrier which I was the first to import them into Aus in the early 80s, I have seen first hand the twisted lies that were put out to sell the Cujo story. In a very similar way, Floyd was sold and marketed as the evil one while Manny was sold and marketed as the White Knight it was all about selling the image and rivalry they played their roles because it was filling up their bank accounts, everything including so-called on purpose leaks put out to the public was edited to sell the narrative..
I don't know either man on a personal level so I don't judge them based on what is spoon-fed via media they are renowned for embellishing any angle they think sells copy, for all you know Manny could be a really bad person and Floyd the opposite we just don't know, my personal opinion is they are probably both good people that played the same game their way to build a successful career, I bet in their inner circle they are both loved, I just cant fathom how strangers hold such strong beliefs from hearsay.
I actually make more of a judgement on people in here than the celebrities they talk about, what they write in person is a strong indication of their personality intelligence and values.
So all his issues, all his court cases, domestic abuse and battery, his daughter stabbing somebody, his close friend 50 cent getting on his back, even Justin Bieber.. are all media made and media fault? So there's absolutely zero fire to all the smoke?
Manny Pacquiao is not sold as a white knight, he got known as a white knight, people knew him here in the Philippines before he even got famous, they know what kind of life he lives here. Even when he poops gets reported here. Like I said they live in a fishbowl, all eyes is on you, no issues get unseen, you can only portray for so long and soon be exposed and seen about what you truly are.
You are correct at a certain level, we may never get to know 100% of who they are or all of what they do, but more than 30 years of living in the public eye, living in a fish bowl, living as a celebrity we get to watch them all the time, from HBO 24/7, to showtime all access, to news, to social media posts, to stories, we are not that stupid to not be able to connect the dots or deduce at a certain level what kind of people they are. We know what kind of people the Kardashians are, or Tom Cruise, we know who we want to vote for office...
you mean to say none of what's happening in the media, or social media even, is true at a certain level? none of Floyd's court cases, battery and domestic violence issues blow some smoke to the fire?
I thought I been harsh with my comment just in response to body bags trolling, but I certainly do appreciate a lot of Floyd's qualities, certainly there's a lot of them for him to reach the level of success he had. And his bad qualities were necessary for him to acquire that. But I still stand firm on who's life I want between him and Pacquiao which was the focus of my comment.

So let me get this straight. Because somebody is critical of Floyd Mayweather and how he conducted his boxing, that means they hate the person? Gtfoh.
And all this coming from you who always is calling people stupid. They don't know nothing about boxing, and bla bla bla.
Get this ydksab hypocrite out of here, and anybody who thinks like him.

Floyd is not the only retired fighter with 50 wins and no losses. Ever heard of Ricardo Lopez? And Lopez is a great fighter/Hall of famer
Yes, I have heard of Lopez. Mayweather holds the American record & he set it on the cheap.
No, chronic haters are a minority, their brains don't work right, and the majority of fans are silent, they invest in more meaningful endeavours than hating, to be honest, I can't think of a bigger waste of time than festering hate on somebody you will never know, that's a real fkd way of thinking lol.

The only problem with Mayweather's exhibitions is that they should be going on his pro record. These would be amongst Julio Cesar Chavez Sr's top 10 wins. Mayweather I guess doesn't want to record-pad, and always beat the best of the best of the best in their absolute primes. His schooling of prime Pac was a joy to behold. TBE. Nash out
Good finally now we can move on. Thanks for participating and not being off-topic for once instead of spouting nonsense for the last 6 pages.
In response to your question, I actually wrote a long azz post for that but I'm not sure you're worth it. Anything less than "I would definitely do the same" you'd be quick to dismiss anyway. I'll reserve that when you make a thread about "what would you do if were you". lol For now carry on.
I win
To ME, ALL of these exhibition matches are lame.
But I'd be doing the same lame shlt if I could make a portion of the money May makes.
4th time I've typed it.
Why do I always need to repeat myself with you haters ?!?!?
Now, can YOU answer a simple question :lol1: !!!!
I'm betting myself $5 you run away

You make these kinds of judgements from a fan's perspective, you ever heard the quote about the sinners throwing the first stone.
Lots of you guys cant see the line between image and real in their personal lives, all I judge in any sportsman is their performance in their field, and that's the only place you see whats real..

There's nothing wrong with Floyd's exhibitions each to their own. Floyd's boxing legacy was no longer important, so let him make money, id watch them if I stumbled across them.
Give no name people a chance to beat floyd, wouldn't we all like that chance?
Would you like me to point out the ones that praise how great he was as a boxer, there is so many it shows how hate is looking through a toilet paper roll to see only what it wants to see.
This is you and you don't even know it.

It's not hate it's the truth.
If you don't believed go watch every video of mayweather in youtube and you will see so many comments disrespecting and making fun of him. It's so sad...

The minority always have reasons to disrespect people that achieve so much more than they do, and they like to announce it to the world, it's like a religion for losers to hate on the success of others, the majority of people in this world are really messed up in the head, and every one of them thinks it's the others lol. give me my dogs they never lie and a few close people and I'm happy.

Well i'm not forcing you to believe but i will say it again that i was once a fan of him specially when he was at lightweight but i started to dislike him when he disrespected the boxing fans and that's probably one of the many reasons why people are disrespecting and making fun of him now.

You were never a fan I don't know why you feel a need to lie, at least wear your hate like you own it, youre like the slime-ball that says in a gay tone I really want to like him but he just won't let me.
