Every fuking boxer these days is always crying they were robbed unless it was like a complete shutout and even then they still cry it was robbed or need a rematch because they "almost won"
I never see basketball players or football players saying they really won the game. They always just accept they lost and move on.
It's hard for players in team sports to cry about losing when their sports have scores and replays.
Before replays, you better believe some teams got robbed.
In tennis, there is scoring and I'm sure players cry about losing.
Athletes in individual sports can be crybabies at times.
Usually, boxers take losing well.
The more that's at stake and the closer it is, the more ''crying'' there will be.
It's like you didn't read. Other sports there's recourse for bad calls. Calls can be challenged and the play rewatched via instant replay in slo-mo. So when there's a bad call, players in other sports KNOW it has been reviewed and there's video evidence, etc. So there's very little ground for complaints. When you know that you can appeal bad calls and there will be proof one way or another, you accept your losses when they happen because it can be proven.
Boxing, on the other hand, refuses to take advantage of that same tech, even though it frequently gets used during the broadcast and we already know before the next round that the call was bad. But there's no mechanism to overturn a bad decision or bad call by a ref. You need to ask yourself why that is.
Not a single week goes by that there's not a suspect decision in boxing. It's fundamentally corrupt and being deliberately kept that way. I'm not sure if you're being willfully blind here or what, but the facts are that bad decisions are literally routine in boxing, and they're not in any other sport. Every other sport has multiple checks and balances to ensure fairness. Boxing doesn't, and reforms have failed time and time again, just as UFC has spent millions ensuring that the Ali Act doesn't apply to MMA. Quit blaming the people who are putting their lives on the line and getting screwed. Apologists like you help keep boxing corrupt.
I read everything and you need to check your tone before you speak to me
Why is this thread even started? Okay, you're a fan of Haney and you don't like Lomachenko. I understand.
But this is not tennis, golf, basketball, baseball, soccer, etc., where clear wins are produced at the end of the game.
In boxing when there's no KOs, clear, obvious domination, stoppages, everyone pretty much relies on judges. Judges are humans. They make mistakes. It then becomes it's in the eye of the beholder. Wins are subjective.
There's no accurate measurements other than reviewing the video and can find out yourself. I mean this is the hi-tech age. You rely on yourself to find the truth. Those judges didn't have the benefit of replays, everyone does. What does that say about you, ignoring what was in the video?
A basketball score isn't based on a minority opinion
This. Need censors in gloves and automated scoring.
I would also change the scoring system so that there would be 10-7 rounds for knockdowns and 10-8 rounds for obvious domination of one fighter by another, where one fighter was on the run, almost knocked down, or out landed to a crazy degree.
Everyone trying to throw out the "to be the champ you have to beat the champ" line is saying that. That's one of the main lines from Haney fans is that "you need to have 7 clear rounds to beat the champ." Actually, that saying comes from the fact that the champ retains his belt in the event of a tie, and means nothing more.
No one has said that second part you just said; "You have to have 7 clear rounds to beat the champ." Show me one quoted post that says that.
Literally no one said that.

It's modern American culture. If you want to see why we're having major issues in our communities, go down to a local basketball court and just watch and listen. Some piece of shit kids just shot some people at a school recently all because, "Dey not gettin' dey respect, yo." We have a severe mental weakness issue in our neighborhoods. It all stems from no father in the household.
In boxing you get biased judging and scores, so it enables that sort of behaviour. Boxers will either use it to their advantage or as an excuse to say that they got robbed. They need to change the whole system and I don't see that happening.
some people in some fights require 7 plus clear rounds to have a shot at winning, some only need 4 plus to have that same shot, now thats something to complain about
Literally no one said that.

That is the thing though these other sports, the fans will boo and go nuts over "bad calls" by the refs but even though they disagree with them, at the end of the day you dont hear them or the players saying they were "robbed" and claiming they "actually won" the same way as boxing. They accept that the officials make rulings they wont agree with all the time.
Boxers every freaking fight now that could have gone either way you got them crying "robbery"

Is there any NFL team out there claiming they really won a superbowl and are thus the "real" champs? Any that submitted a complaint to the NFL commission to get the game results overturned and "make" them the champs over a close game and dispute over a ref call?
That is what we get with boxing almost every freaking fight.
Ask old school Raider fans about the "tuck rule" lol!
I hate football these days, I grew up a 49er fan doe around a bunch of Raider fans. Even I thought the league gave that 1 to Brady. Im sure Charles Woodson feels the same way.

So in your eyes, Lomachenko passed. Just like most other people had him.
And since you’re mentioning it (idk why?), Canelo outlanded GGG in power punches in more rounds in the rematch. He landed the more telling blows in more rounds. He rightfully won.
I'm guessing you have been influenced by the CompuBox stats for GGG/Canelo 2, yeah?
With CompBox, any punch which is not a lead hand jab is classed as a power punch, which can be very misleading, if you take their stats at face value.
Because "power punches" are not part of a boxing judge's scoring criteria. They are trained and instructed to score fights by clean, effective punches landed, whether those punches are jabs, hooks, crosses, left hands, right hands, whatever. They should all count equally, unless they knock down, wobble or visibly hurt the opponent.
Neither Canelo nor GGG were knocked down, wobbled or visibly hurt by any of the punches they landed on each other. So when it comes to scoring their fights, the total number of punches landed per round is the only stat that matters. And GGG landed more punches, in more rounds, than Canelo, in both their fights.
Excuse him. It’s hard to take your loss like a man when millions of fans and his peers (other boxers) thought he won. Lol it’s going to be extremely hard to convince him of that.
If a passing score on a test is 75, and you got a 76, but the teacher said you failed the test, would you take your F like a man, knowing that you actually passed? How can you take that F like a man when you did what you were supposed to do to pass the test? Everyone is looking at your score, 76, and saw you’re supposed to pass, and tell you that you should’ve passed. But the teacher said you failed. Would you take that fail like a man or be bitter about it and speak out against the supposed fail?
You'd have a point if Loma took his losses to salido and Lopez like a man.
Haney isnt the first loss that he complained about. Nice try tho kevin
Winning 7 clear rounds is no guarantee to come out on top in certain boxing fights for certain fighters in certain venues countries
Ok. Again I’m lost on your point?
If a guy wins 7 clear rounds and doesn’t get the decision then it’s a robbery, that’s a different argument.
Lomachenko didn’t win 7 clear rounds so it’s irrelevant to the point being made.
