Lately I've been wondering about this because it seemed as if Bivol was destined to lose. I thought he was going to win but would be robbed as many others have been robbed fighting Canelo in Vegas. But Bivol somehow was able to buck the trend. How?
I mean it was obvious that the judges almost robbed Bivol, saying he won by only one round when he nearly pitched a shutout. But for whatever reason, they allowed Bivol to walk away with the belts. Why? I'm still wondering about this because it's obvious that there was an intention to rob Bivol, but it seems as if Vegas suddenly changed its mind at the last second.
I suspect that had they let Canelo win, it would have been such a controversy, such an obvious robbery, that it would have been nearly impossible to sweep it under the rug. What does everyone else think?
I like your positivism ... But nope, not happening, Niet, Nada ... Bivol has his number now... He knows where and when to hurt Ginger... Next fight will be an a underwhelming experience for any Ginger fan... Bivol is just too much work for him, size and Boxing skills included...
Dunno, maybe if he gets back on his Mexican tacos without VADA noticing, and gets some help from the judges, and Bivol feels flat on the night. His gas tank has been awful since he stopped eating his Mexican tacos, and his head movement and power both have suffered.
if canelo somehow wins the rematch i bet people will start saying well the first fight could have gone either way...

Canelo didn’t land a single flush head shot. I’m not kidding lmfao
watch that fight again
Canelo thought he could **** up Bivol's left upper arm like he did to Callum Smith. This was a mistake.
There’s no way to even give Canelo 3 rounds, let alone 5.
but a constant along Canelo fans is that jabs don’t count, so who knows
Yeah, but, what the hell do you know?
You’re the same guy who thinks James Toney would school and KO elite heavyweights in their primes :lol1:
Dave Tiberi beat Toney in clearer fashion than Bivol beat Canelo. What’s your thoughts on that?
I honestly didnt know what round to give Canelo. Maybe I stopped paying attention because it felt like Canelo decided early he wasnt going to risk winning and getting ktfo.
I don’t recall exactly but the first few rounds were far from dominate rounds I know that.
There were 1 or 2 others.
Bivol won, there’s no question about that but I don’t see a shut out, I mean you could possibly score it that way or close to that way but there’s no way Bivol clearly won every single round.
sHoW mE lOma'S 8 rOuNdS
Well, no not 8 rounds. It’s 7 rounds.
You know you only need 7 clear rounds to secure the fight in definitive fashion, right? Not 8.
You’ve somehow equated that simple question to me dickriding Haney because you have the IQ of a spoon.

I think the uproar would have been too loud to contain. Given the thorough ass whipping that Bivol handed Alvarez, BS close score cards was the best the judges could do.
Watch Teddy Atlas's breakdown of how they tried to fix this scoring
Worth watching for anyone who hasn't seen. And this applies to any other fight too. You'll start to notice

12-0? I don’t see that.
I had it 8-4 Bivol. I actually think 7-5 Bivol is plausible but there’s 7 clear rounds for Bivol.

All three judges had it 113-115.
It was not that close of fight.
Canelo got the scoring favoritism he usually seems to get in Vegas. But even with that, he didn’t do enough to even make the argument he won.
This right here.
They actually did rob him. All 3 judges scoring it 7-5 looks close that Canelo had a chance to win. A fight like that warrants a rematch .
This fight was 12-0. Clear dominating performance by Bivol that doesnt warrant a rematch.

do you think it was due to Bivol being so convincing and that to let Canelo keep the belts would have been too unbelievable? Had Canelo walked away with the belts, what do you think would have happened? Do you think it would have been such a huge scandal that it would be nearly impossible to deny robbery? I might have to look at the fight thread on here and see what people were saying.
Nothing would have happened.
Just like nothing happened when sweet pea dominated Chavez Sr. and didn't get the win.
Your d!ckriding on Haney.
Oh yeah :lol1:
I don’t like Haney, I’m not a fan of Haney, I picked him to lose to Loma and scored the fight for Loma.
So make that make sense you retard.
Might also have something to do with the fact that it was a Matchroom/DAZN fight and not Top Rank or PBC. Someone's got to pay to fix the fight after all, and I'm pretty sure Eddie spent the whole budget on paying Canelo. Probably didn't think he needed to fix the fight either. They clearly tried to give it to Canelo anyways though.
They tried to lol but bivol won too convincingly

Ninety percent of the boxing word disagrees with you there. As I said before, in no world does one body punch equal three head snapping punches.
The difference with Bivol is that you cannot find 10 percent of people saying Canelo won that fight.
Actually, I just realized something. That was a Matchroom card. I suspect Hearn and Matchroom do not have the connections with Las Vegas that the American companies have with Vegas.
Still does not explain the weird cards, however.
90% of the boxing world disagree with what?
