It is passed due but a lot less passed due than Pac / Mayweather was. so there's that anyway.
SO, how is this different from the last time the fight was on except for those pesky contracts not being signed?
If their game's are both on the decrease like some folk are saying, well? That is irrelevant.
Spence Junior & Crawford are both still undefeated.
It is a fight to prove who the best fighter of their era is 'They are the two last men standing, from their era'.
All the other fighters from there era 'Have ether retired, been beaten by them or? They are just cruising in the game and not on full attack I.E Keith Thurman'.
Terrence Crawford vs Eroll Spence Junior is the biggest most significant all american title fight since 'Evander Holyfield vs Mike Tyson I' etc.
We as boxing fans are just getting tired of being played and lied to that's all. We were told a year ago that the fight was happening last August and then in November. The dates kept changing but there was never a fight at all.
It has left a lasting bad feeling for boxing fans in general about this potential bout not happening by now. Once I see the official announcement and kickoff with both men present and in attendance then perhaps only then I will get excited about this fight again.
Assuming it goes through, of course. I would have liked for it have happened already, but to say I won't be that excited is a bit much. I will be pumped for this one.
I won't get excited until they are in the ring, will start getting hyped if they have a good 24/7 style countdown .Fight does feel like its a bit late , not quite Manny vs Floyd late .....
They haven't signed contracts, and I don't want to pay $85 for it, especially when I think it's probably going to end up controversial if it goes to the cards. Much more excited for Inoue-Fulton.
Feels years too late. Spence is on the decline, Crawford too.
Meh
Its a hell of a fight between the best two WW in the world, how do you figure on the decline when Errol's last fight was classic Spence, a walk-up pressure fighter that takes your soul against a great talent that can take you out at any time, this fight will be big count on it.
It was hot toast a few mths ago now it's years late lol.
It just got announced and it’s not Mayweather-Pacquiao. Wait til the trash talking starts, it will gain steam. The news is like a day old.
It’s slightly lower hype than something like Canelo-Benavidez possibly being announced. But it’s still up there, it’s like at the level of Fury-Usyk hype.
It’s absolutely a top 5 matchup of 2023, definitely in terms of popularity among boxing fans, accolades of the fighters, their placement in their division and their placement in the top 10 P4P rankings.
I haven’t kept up with either fighter if I’m honest. This may be a situation where I will place my first bet (not a gambler) as IF this fight happens around then, I will actually have some disposable coin to throw down. Who is the safe and who is the bigger payout, I wonder? Anyone?
No because it doesn’t even really feel fully official, they’ve been pump faking too long. Once we get some press tours, Countdown shows, and trash talk the hype will be insane again.
I want to see it, but I'm not as hyped about it. I truly believe this fight is only happening because they have exhausted their options. They have nowhere else to go. I don't care who wins, but if it's a decision, both of their dikriding fanbases will clutter this site explaining why their favorite was "robbed"
