Not saying this was a terrible robbery. I felt Loma edged it but there were a lot of close rounds.
But I also thought Kovalev edged fight one against Ward.
I felt GGG clearly won fight one versus Canelo and edged fight two.
Yet none of these guys got the decision.
Even Bivol dominated the fight against Canelo and barely got the decision in Vegas.
Definitely a pattern emerging.
theres an obvious hierarchy when it comes to the boxing industry at the top are the americans who are obviously the most protected, but the american boxing industry is heavily bias towards mexicans too, after that it's brits.
at the bottom are eastern euros. follow the money.
anyone who denies this reality in boxing is delusional.
what about the asians?

If you can't split them, simple as that. Swing rounds, feeling out rounds where nothing happens, etc. I'm sure while watching a fight you've had it where the round ends and you just can't make your mind up who won it. Mark it a draw then, give them each a share of it. It's the fairest solution.
Look at it like this, people (commentators, analysts, fans) say all the time "this was a really difficult fight to score, lots of close rounds, really hard to separate them." Okay then, so the scorecard should reflect that, no? There should be plenty of even rounds and a suitably close final tally. Surely that makes more sense that slightly edging one way on all the close rounds (because you have to pick a winner) and having a skewed one-sided scorecard at the end that doesn't represent the actual fight at all. That happens all the time.
Yeah but corruption is corruption, there's nothing you can do about that regardless of the scoring system. If they want to cheat they're gonna cheat no matter what. Look at that judge who gave Canelo a draw in the Mayweather fight, it doesn't get more egregious than that.
I'd argue it's easier to exploit the current system anyway because in a fight with many close rounds, a judge can give them all to whoever they favour and nothing can really be said about it because "close rounds."
I think encouraging judges to score rounds even just creates more problems. It used to be more acceptable years ago to score even rounds but it didn’t work. A notable example was Sweet Pea getting robbed in France. The cards were like 116-115 and stupid stuff like that.

An argument can be made for Ruslan Provodnikovs debatable losses to Bradley and Chris Algebra.
If Loma was American he would still be undefeated. Teo fight truly could’ve gone either way. Salido should’ve been deducted multiple points. And Loma clearly won the undisputed championship last night. Let’s start talking about his place amongst the goats of the sport.
you really think Loma won a fight he didn't throw any meaningful punches for the first 6 rounds and lost the 12th badly? You're not good at math are you?
do bears crap in the woods
lets be honest there is bias in every country
its just that some people pretend the bias doesnt exist
these are usually the people who support people who benefit from the bias tho lol
What defines a close round though?

You’d get these crooked judges just exploiting it.
Look at that clown Moretti for example, he scored round 2 of Tank-Garcia 10-10 despite a fighter scoring a knockdown. :lol1:Yeah but corruption is corruption, there's nothing you can do about that regardless of the scoring system. And again, this fight is another example of why close rounds should be scored even.
Many of the rounds, especially the early ones, were very nip and tuck and there was basically nothing to split them. You lean slightly one way for a few of those and you now have a skewed scorecard. Judges should simply score those rounds 10-10.
How is it right when the round is basically a draw to give one guy all the credit and the other guy none? Round one was worth as much to Haney as round ten was to Lomachenko, more actually because one judge somehow gave Haney the tenth lol.
It's a broken scoring system which, while not fixed, would be a whole lot better with this simple change. Way back when, rounds were scored even as the default unless one man did enough to separate himself and that makes far more sense than what we have now.

I mean, when you have to fight americans in american soil refereed by an american, judged by americans, promoted by an american, sponsored by american companies, a "bit" of bias is expected.
Haney lost though, Tank and Shakur about to do something bad to him.
yeah that sums it up lol

Big fights in Vegas the Last 20 years
DLH vs. Mosley 2 - Close fight, most thought DLH deserved it - Mosley got the decision
Mayweather vs. Castillo I - Close fight, a lot of people including HBO thought Castillo deserved it - Mayweather won
Maidana vs. Floyd - Close fight, most people thought Mayweather edged it, could go either way - Mayweather wins
Kovalev vs. Ward I - Close fight, Most people thought Kovalev deserved it. Ward wins
Pacquaio vs. Bradley - 95% of viewers thought Manny won ez, wasn't close. Bradley wins
Lomachenko vs. Haney - Close fight, most people think Loma deserved the win - Haney wins it
Most of these fights could go either way, but the outcomes haven't shown that. You can say it's a coincidence but it's pretty strange that if you are fighting a black American in Vegas the chances of winning a close fight are pretty slim.
If someone can point to black Americans losing close high profile fights in Vegas the last 20 years, please post them.
I thought Hopkins should’ve got the decision against Calzaghe.

Nah Teofimo beat him fair and square. The widest card was egregious but the right man got the decision.
After eight rounds were completed I had Devin up 5-3. Then after Haney punched himself out.
I gave Loma the next three rounds; Scoring it 6~5 for Loma going into the twelfth round.
I had Loma up by 1 point. However, I ended up giving Haney the 12th: Which made it a draw on my unofficial scorecard.
The fight was very hard to score; Especially the early rounds. Scoring the fight either way or a draw would have been a good score.
That’s completely fair mate. I can definitely see a draw or 7-5 either way.
Definitely hard to score, especially the first half. A lot of competitive rounds.

Yeah I said in my OP, I didn’t think it was a robbery.
I had it level after 6 and 8. Gave Loma 9, 10, 11 and Haney 12.
I felt Loma did enough but I can see the draw or 7-5.

I just see a pattern emerging in general man.
I felt the right man won but I could be biased lol.
I didn’t score each round but I did take note of the last rounds which I felt were crucial.
I didn’t score all the early rounds but I felt Haney won 3 or 4 of the first 5.
I felt Haney won round 9.
Loma beat the shlt out of Haney in rounds 10 and 11.
I also had Haney winning round 12 as I believe BS also did.
I won’t argue with anyone who says either guy won a close fight.
I will argue with anyone who starts blowing Tank bc of last night. Anyone Tank has fought would LOSE to Loma last night!
PERIOD!
Honestly, out of all those, the Canelo/Bivol cards were probably the worst and the right guy won. I had Kovalev beating Ward, Canelo/GGG 1 a draw and this fight a draw. Canelo/GGG 1 had the one ridiculous card that ruined everything, but other than that, none of those other results had individually egregious cards imo.
there's always that one scorecard though. Always
