Besides skill what else does he have on Wilder ? They both failed to defeat any opponents that might be considered great in their division and Klitschko actually lost to more opponents as of now ( who weren’t better than Fury)
Wilder was knocked out by Fury. twice. Knocking down means nothing.
Even Pajkic knocked Fury down.
Looking very much like Wilder vs. Joshua is getting signed according to both camps, so that ought to tell us an awful lot. Stay tuned.
He knocked Fury down 4 times and for all intents and purposes knocked him spark out. Did Wladdy do anything like that when HE had the chance, in one of his most anticipated title fights? It's hyperbole. No worries.

They’ve sparred prior and Wilder was embarrassed and put on the canvas several times.
I've heard something like that. I heard Wlad hurt Wilder in sparring and that is why they never fought. He went to Klitschko to learn and indeed got schooled.
He definitely lost to McDermott, there's no question of that.
And we all know if Wallin was cut like Tyson was the fight would've been stopped.
I'm no hater, just talking the truth. Just be honest.
It's a tough racket, the fight game. Close nods, knockdowns, bad cuts. Gotta have em' in order to grow I guess. But somehow or other here we are today with an undefeated heavyweight champ entering the 4th quarter of his career. One thing we can ALL agree on is that these fight negotiators and career crafers REALLY need to step it up. We can't blame it on Covid anymore, and if we don't get to see finished what Fury and Wilder started, by way of Usyk, Joshua, Ruiz and Zhang diving into the deep end, this talent rich era is going to be remembered as the "Best fights weren't made" era.
One point is that none of those things ever happened.

Wlad Klitschko fought all contenders back to back as a champ.
His brother fought the others.
Wilder didn`t fight 90% contenders in his era.

Wladimir would never lose to John McDermott or Otto Wallin... And duck Andy Ruiz.
What's the point?

wlad cleaned out the division and was on top for a decade. wilder never cleaned the division out, there are guys he never fought. wlad even if it was a weak era he cleaned it out.
No facts homie
im ‘Mexican and always support American boxers
or Canadian s
deontay would get dropped stopped and go back to bagging groceries
strange how people talk about wilder as if he was some king of the division when a guy like andy ruiz jr has a resume that blows him away. wilder cleaned out the division if you consider a 40 year ortiz the division lol. he couldnt beat the best, refused to fight the best, and even refuses to fight 2nd tier guys cept for old ortiz. fantasy power though!
I disagree! You can slice with a razor any difference between the total resumes of Fury, Wilder, Joshua; with those of Ruiz, Usyk & Ortiz just behind them. THAT is why there remains unfinished business in the division. Tonnes of unfinished business to be done before this generation gives way to the next, as they always do.
They did it so much more fearlessly in, say; the 1970s, when Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Quarry, Lyle, Shavers Young and Bugner all had a good go at each other and Ali wound up as the best.
In this generation, an excellent one to be certain; Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have stepped up thrice in an effort to determine a single claim to the crown, and after many knockdowns and plenty of drama, they delivered a result.
Joshua, Ruiz and Usyk haven't fought quite to the same level (Sitting champion vs. Sitting champion), as of yet.
And time's-a-wastin'.
The argument that Wilder hasn't fought the same quality as Joshua has been entirely disproven.

Wilder would never lose to Puritty, Sanders, Brewster.... and AJ.
Fury is Fury. He is from another dimension.
This is the best answer. Wladimir, and to a far, far less extent, Vitali presided over a fairly weak division. During his tenure there were no Tyson Furys, Deontay Wilders, or even an Usyk, Ruiz, Ortiz or Joshua around, and Wladimir still managed to get laid out more than once. Talk like "Wladimir had equivalent power to Wilder" and "Wilder has no footwork" are the thoughts of fans, not experts. Talk like "Wilder is Charles Martin level" is just mindless trolling. Wladimir is slightly "greater" by my measure, but Wilder sleeps him H2H.

What's the point?
I also find it hard to believe Klitschko would ever ever duck a cruiserweight.

How would Wilder even land past Wlads jab?
His footwork and balance is just awful, would be constantly offset before the inevitable right hand.
Wlad stopped engaging in his prime like he did v Sanders. Would just be a safety first jab fest.

Wilder had his chance to fight Wlad but never attempted. Even Finkel said as much. Should answer your question. End /
