I think anyone who isn't biased should be able to see the massive difference in skill between the two. And I mean massive. It should be obvious to everyone that Floyd is head and shoulders above Canelo as a fighter. Was getting tagged by a mediocre fighter like Ryder. He getting walked down by a basic fighter like Bivol. Couldn't stop a 40+ yr old GGG. But he's going to beat Floyd? Nah that's crazy.
I don't know why Floyd made a catchweight it just gave people an excuse to discredit him.
Canelo weighed in 4-5 months prior against Trout a mere 1 ½lbs heavier, after he fought Floyd he spent absolute years at 154 & the odd 155 catchweight just 2lbs above the catchweight where he was supposedly so drained. If he was that drained he wouldn't have spent the next 3 or more yrs fighting just 2lbs above all the while having the best performances of his career.
He was 22 you can easily get away with it at that age, if he was an older fighter then yeah maybe I'd put a little more stock into it.
I think Floyd beats him regardless of weight and I know some will ask why did he drain him then as an excuse to discredit Floyd but I did prior and I seen absolutely nothing in that fight whatsoever that lead me to believe that Floyd is not just the absolute worst style possible for Canelo.
If anything I think the younger, lighter on his feet Canelo that threw in combination is probably a more difficult fight than the recent even more static Canelo that puts more emphasis on power and loads up with single shots.
BodyBagz I never said he cherry picked his zero though.
Not you
Most do
They know who they are
BTW, you can just click the quote button under my comment
Whichever is easier :fing02:
BodyBagz I think PBF is better too.
So called fight fans know this.
Yet they insist on matching non prime PBF (May) vs PRIME ATG bigger men.
And they are the ones to say May cherry picked his 0 :lol1:
If May is so laughable, why do they insist on matching him vs BIGGERE PRIME ATGs :lol1: ?!?!?
I don’t know why this is such a big argument.
Matched peak for peak, Floyd wins a close fight.
Most posters are either predicting a dominant Floyd win, which I doubt, as peak Canelo carried enough power to keep him honest and would have also likely broken down his Philly Shell with the arm punches he was known for. Or, they are predicting a dominant Canelo win, which I also doubt.
No one in the history of boxing below light heavyweight would have ever dominated and destroyed Floyd, except for two.
And both of those men were named Sugar Ray.
PBF >or May

Fantasy fights are supposed to be of guys in the same weight class or in close in weight (i.e Sugar Ray Leonard v. Sugar Ray Robinson or Mike Tyson v. Muhammad Ali)
Nobody's asking about Inoue vs. Tyson Fury.
But if they were, it would be if they were equal in size, pound for pound means exactly that. If people want fantasy fights with fighters divisions apart then the concept is wack because there will be a massive handicap in place, fantasy can only be prime and pound for pound. When you think about it fantasy fights are the only fights that can be hypothetically fair, pound for pound.
Thats the whole idea of a fantasy fight, make the weight disappear and look just at the fighters making them the same weight, best Floyd vs best Canelo same weight, Floyd wins with ease.

Why is the "best version" of Canelo getting tagged by a mediocre fighter like Ryder? 168 is full of Euro-bums. That's the only reason y'all thought Canelo looked better. Like I said, he's slow and fat at 168. Couldn't even stop a 40+ yr old GGG.
Danny Jacobs & Caleb Plant aren't "Eurobums"
He was better at 168 because his endurance was better. He didn't gas out in fights like he did at 154 & 160.
His defense was better.
His head movement was better.
Tell me when did Floyd fight the prime fighter which would be the best in his division like Canelo fought prime Bivol at Bivol`s best weight?
I'd say Corrales many moons ago before he started Cherrypicking
You thinking that list is CREDIBLE is all that needs to be said about you.
Look! They even updated it 4 days ago, and Floyd's position still didn't budge:

At least he is top 20 according to this list. Be happy!
Me personally I would have liked to have seen Pernell a little higher, but it is what it is.

MENSA would fall apart without you being a member.
You thinking that list is CREDIBLE is all that needs to be said about you. .
The list IS credible. I don't have to think about it. Lol
Oh I guess it has to come from a Floyd appointed cronie to be credible.
You have nowhere to go.
You said there isn't one list that had Manny over Floyd and I came up with one.
Believe me I can come up with more.
Keep living in Floyd boy land where you think Floyd beat everybody in their prime.
I keep telling ya all your boy had to do was beat everybody in their prime, and you would have proper backup to your claims, like I do.
Tell me when did Floyd fight the prime fighter which would be the best in his division like Canelo fought prime Bivol at Bivol`s best weight?
Bivol had less championship experience than Canelo did when he fought Floyd. But one was too green while the other was in their prime. You people crack me up with your nonsense.
They're saying that wasn't prime Nelo (as if that was prime May)
I'm assuming they feel prime Nelo was a full MW
In these Fantasy Fights, all of the advantages goes to May's opponent
