Canelo Isn't Top 2 At 168 Now

Benavidez and Morrell both beat him. He peaked. He's on the decline big time. He's been a pro since 15 or 16 and fought a ton of killers. Had a HOF run. But he's on the down side. All the wars, the money, the golf career aspirations. But let's face it. He's too small at 168 for Benavidez and Morrell. They both beat him decisively and possibly stop him. It is a travesty that he is talking about Bivol at 175 when he's had those two as mandatories for a year and a half plus. Canelo is #3 at 168 now and I don't want to see Benavidez vs Morrell until Canelo fights one of them. If he doesn't want to, that's fair, vacate the WBC and WBA. PERIOD. and when I say Canelo is #3 I mean in terms of ranking who is the best right now in the division. He's undisputed and ranked #1 in terms of being the champ and his resume. But I think both David's beat him.

I agree. Jones does suck and Barkley might cost too much. Still a fan tho and hope for the best. Your boxing knowledge is horrendous regardless. i'm about to go bust some cheeks. He’s only had a handful of fights since getting stripped and all he’s done is fight a Canelo left over, and looked terrible doing it. That doesn’t have the showing of someone who’s hungry. Oh sorry. Canelo’s not Plant. He punches with bad intentions and he has a better chin. And he’s better defensively than Plant. He’s pretty much superior to Plant in every way possible in a boxing ring. And Plant gave Benavidez fits especially in the first 6 rounds. Triangle theories don’t work. You gotta prove it in the ring. ”Canelo beat Plant easier than Benavitez beat Plant, therefore, Canelo beats Benavitez.” That narrative doesn’t hold much water. The most famous example being, “Foreman beat Frazier easily while Ali lost to Frazier, therefore, Foreman kills Ali.” Makes sense? One could also make the argument that the Plant that showed up vs Benavitez was WAY better than the Plant that showed up vs Canelo. Furthermore, time isn’t on Canelo’s side here.
