Okay let's have some fun now, this question has many foes to question. Was it Margarito? Was it Mosley? Perhaps Mayweather?
Any way I swear I could remember Pacquiao saying Cotto was his hardest fight because "after 6 rounds they still were even."
This comes after what? 2 knockdowns on Cotto if I remember co4rectly and a stoppage in the 12th? PAC also had a swollen ear/ cauliflower/ busted eardrum.
Whether it is or not, Miguel praised him (Manny) of being the best fighter in the world. Which stems another question 1 a) how many fighters confessed with their own mouth that he pacman, was the pound for pound king.
Me thinks: Mosley, Cotto, I can't recall many others. You be the one to decide:
You having pac winning 8 rounds is all I need to know. Hbo didnt even have pac winning and he was there fighter.
Pac clearly loss to floyd. Pac never clearly loss to Marquez until the 4th fight.
Floyd is the tougher opponent, not marquez. Pac was able to put marquez down over and over. Marquez just kept getting up. Pac would never be able to drop mayweather because he won't touch him enough to do it.
He cant score for sht especially the areas of ring generalship and control, Floyd won the fight Ive never seen Manny so lost, 2 others come to mind that were just as lost JMM and Canelo, the only people saying Floyd lost are Manny fangirls that cant face reality even Mannys closest trainers and cohorts all say Manny lost.
At the end of the day its not even about the fight its about being real and the few Manny fangirls that are always talking sht are anything but being real.
I think jmm was pacs hardest. 4 attempts and couldn't ko him. And the only real fighter who pac beat whose win was really deemed controversial. But jm m did say pac was pfp the best of era.
The trickiest might be floyd though, but I can't speak on behalf of pac. Pac did say of the floyd fight that he beat floyd, floyd didn't do anything
I agree it was a stinker on both sides. But it was still clear who was better.
Pac was right there with Marquez through 42 rounds. He was sinking against Floyd in 12 rounds.
Pac will tell you out his mouth Floyd is the most difficult and that's even after being flatlined by Dinamita
It just wasn't a washed for me... it was an 8-4 fight at best and a few punches separating them each round.. logically floyd should be his toughest fight given how great floyd is (boxing skills and style), plus his reach and size advantages (he's naturally bigger) over pac... but when it comes to Marquez, he struggled against an old version who happens to be a bit smaller than him and way slower.
i thought an old Marquez beat a better version of Pacquiao in their 3rd fight decisively with only Pacquiao's motor and workrate convinced the judges otherwise.
so I look at it that way, Floyd who is way better and a bit bigger didn't washed a torn down pacquiao (already been Koed, No KOs in 5 years). but an old marquez made it hell against a prime one.
Granted floyd is still older, his style still ages better as he has a conservative offense rate and gets limited wear and tear as he doesn't really go to war.
On paper floyd should be his toughest fight, but on what happened in the ring, it was Marquez.
how was floyd clearly better? pac landed the much cleaner punches. there are videos that prove this. a slow paced fight doesnt mean floyd auto wins. watch it again and see whose head is getting rocked around(floyds) and whose punches barely connect(floyd) even most of floyds "clean" shots had nothing on them and were more like touches then punches compared to pacs which clearly made hard contact on floyds head and body.
round 1: easy floyd round, pac does nothing
round 2: very close round, i just gave it to floyd but pac started figuring out what to do
round 3: clear pac round, landed all the hard shots with floyd struggling to land anything but grazing reach out and touch you type jabs, horrible judging
round 4: dominant pac round hurting floyd and pummeling him
round 5: clear floyd round where pac seemingly took the round off
round 6: clear pac round hurting floyd again and dominating
round 7: clear pac round, floyd lands 1 good jab and some reach out and touch you jabs, no power shots while pac lands 2 big power shots, 3 head rocking jabs, and some floyd type crappy unclean punches. judges of course screwed this round up and gave it to floyd? a microcosm of the fight.
round 8: somewhat close round but pac landed more power shots and even buckled floyds legs. definitely scoring it to pac for the better punches and hurting his opponent
round 9: pretty close round but pac again with the better quality shots and more power shots
round 10: dominant pac round
round 11: pac wins first 2 minutes but floyd rallies with good quality shots in final minute to win it clearly
round 12: very close round, ill give it to floyd barely
there was no sinking. bad scoring yes, no sinking.

Timmy and Atlas weren’t even on the same page. Atlas wasn’t giving Horn enough credit and Timmy was giving Horn credit for the damage he was doing to Pac. You could tell that Timmy didn’t want to go against what Atlas was saying but eventually, more and more throughout the fight Bradley would gradually mention that Horn was putting the hurt on Pac. Both guys got beat up in that fight. Atlas tried to act like it was a robbery.
Ah, I think that's the perfect details on how it went down. I believe every word of that.
I feel like Timmy and atlas had a bias towards horn, but it was a bad decision in the first place.

How do you guys feel that the announcers did it? Was the broadcast team right to condescend horn and magnify Pacquiao? Or were they being sore nut huggers?
Bradley was the only commentator telling the true story of what was happening in that fight. Pac was getting beat up by Horn. Jeez Horn may have been fighting dirty but he was really giving Pac a hard fight.
Floyd landed his fewest connect rate against pacquiao. I just didn't see Floyd dominate him or anything. We can't argue about fantasy in 10 out of 10 fights... I base it solely on what happened. Floyd dominated defensively against Pacquiao, but offensively it was "Meh". It was both Floyd and pacquiao's worst fight in the offensive end.
I agree it was a stinker on both sides. But it was still clear who was better.

That was Oscar award material, Ive never seen a better dead act in all the movies Ive ever seen, it was that real I thought he caught a ride to heaven.
Fine I'll watch it again lol I might change my answer yet
Btw I still think Pacquiao threw the fourth fight versus jmm.
