certain fans buy ppv's and some dont, it may just be a test of how good a fanbase is maybe some say boxing is dead dying etc but some fans are out there waiting for one of their guys to excite them and then they support them other guys have no shot at ppv success no matter what they do its good to see good fanbases supporting the guys they like

Its quite easy to see why this fight sold so much. Both of these have huge social media followings and both have done a great job on marketing themselves to their target demographics.

The wilder trilogy made people forget how before that people was calling fury boring and inactive. that 3rd fury vs wilder fight was a classic they made fury become bigger.
