Joshua is probably the biggest boxing star now

What is over and why? Joshua still can beat the most of the guys. I also feel he beats Wilder. He hasn't beaten a quality HW ( HA! ) in a long while. He shows no desire to intentionally hurt his opponent. Being gun shy is a recipe for disaster. Especially when an opponent is all about ending fights brutally (Wilder). Yes AJ can theoretically out box Wilder ( :lol1: ) But let's not kid ourselves. The right will land...eventually. Fury vs AJ is more of a fight I'd pick AJ to win. (TBF, I'd pick almost everyone to beat Fury :boxing: ) He is a ''star'' for now only because his fan base is ravenous. If he were not a Brit, none of you would GAF about him.

I think Wilder has only one fight left. And that is Joshua. He can't take anyone else. Joshua is his retirement fight, in my opinion. Wilder's worth is back to where it was before he fought Luis Ortiz 1 at PBC/SHO. That's what he is being offered, but to Wilder he's still worth like he's always fighting in a superfight. Even then he got overpaid by zealous PBC/SHO investors thinking they got the second coming of Mike Tyson in their hands and their investment will be recoup in no time. In short, Showtime can't afford to pay what Wilder is asking for. Joshua is his only ticket to another big payday.​

High reward, minimal risk, is what guys calling him out are thinking. He's still a top 5-6 guy in a division loaded with talent, so many will regret calling Joshua out.

Nobody cares about AJ outside of the UK. Even there I would imagine his stardom is dwindling. Nobody cares, but he is the biggest name in division, lol.

Lol Like I mentioned in my previous post, Joshua is the heavyweight version of Canelo, who also lost fights, yet stupid fans still want their fighters to play waiting games, wait for the Mexican superstar, robbing the fans of other more mouth-watering fights. As an example, Morrell vs Benavidez is the next logical fight to make if you are a real fan. Stupid fans cry, "NOOOO, I want Canelo to fight Benavidez next. NOOOO!" Basically protecting Morrell, who in my view would beat Benavidez.

Fact that Wilder is waiting for him and can't even take interim fights while waiting for fear of losing just says everything about the Joshua name. Ruiz, after beating Ortiz, was very hopeful he gets Wilder next and even mentioned they're in the "same organization," thus fight is easy to make. Yet it didn't materialize. Nobody cared. Seems the whole division is focused on one man named Joshua.

I did not take ''earnings'' into consideration. There are so many bums in this HW era that AJ can actually do ''well'. Him ever being at the champs table again are gone. Unless mid/lower tier guys like Whyte or Miller become champs His loss to Andy did something to him.

He already fought Klitschko, Parker, Pulev, Usyk twice, Whyte. Fans also suggest he should fight Wilder, Fury, Zhang, Hrgovic and other guys. All these guys want to fight him. Joshua doesn`t even have a belt and he doesn`t have to call out anybody, because other guys call him out. He is the king. His best win is also Fury's :lol1: One more L and it's over.

He was when he was at his peak (globally anyway, not in America where it was Canelo) but in the post-Ruiz years I dont know. Hes still known but his stock is rock bottom and he has no aura anymore. He doesnt FEEL like a huge star these days.

It is not that, Heavyweights are opportunistic. And they sense or perceive vulnerability in Joshua so they are piping up. I would say this is more evident with Fury & Wilder, who lets be honest? I don't think they have ever been that game in fighting Joshua. Fury & Wilder both fought each other, so they did not have to fight Joshua 'That was why the first fight happened, they both perceived each other as stylistically easier fights than Joshua'. People are mocking Joshua of late, and being all dramatic about his last fight 'But Joshua won the fight rather easily'. It is all very interesting anyway, these latter stages of this era's competition between Fury, Usyk, Joshua and Wilder. I am just going to watch it all unfold etc.

Well, Josh will get some more big wins before.he retires. Wilder on Josh resume within end of year. I'm sure zhang, Joyce and fury, flip and Jared want some also in 2024/25 But, does Joshua want all of them? No. If he can get Fury, he'll fight him and cash out. I'll give him big props if he fights Wilder at this stage in his career.
