The same shot Ryan Garcia gave to Luke Campbell who wasn't unable to continue either, came back towards him from "Tank" Davis.
He didn't want to quit of course, but he had no choice and couldn't continue. I bet he would've wanted too if he could, but his body gave up and shut down on him.

Weight drained and he must prolly realized tank can in and was the better man
Ryan would not beat abd muffle weigh
Stop with the weight drained. Ryan didn’t belong in the same building as tank
Nah he chose to stay down. Compare him to his peers…
Does Gatti stay down from that body shot?
Does Castillo?
Does Corrales?
Garcia didn’t want to go out on his shield last night. That’s fine but let’s call it for it what it was.
GGG vs. Macklin. The difference: Macklin writhing in pain after getting two ribs broken.
Bodyshots is what separates the men from the boys. There is not much pain with head shots, and Ryan has a decent chin. But when the shooting pain of a bodyshot introduced itself to Ryan, he didn’t like it at all. But he most definitely could’ve physically carried on. It didn’t paralyze him, the guy did a lot of dancing and even got himself some space before going down, for a moment he thought davis was going to swing on him while he was down and he could still pull his body upright, while a good bodyshot forces you to a curl.
He simply succumbed to pain. The draining likely made his body more sensitive also. That punch was basically a jab. Drained guys always fold easily from small shots like that. Just gotta hit;em right.
Yes, he was writhing in pain and made the decision to get up. Ryan could have gotten up but called it a day. It is what it is.
I literally thought it was over when Khan landed that shot. Chino was one tough SOB though.
That fight made me a huge Khan fan too- I was a big doubter of his after the Prescott loss and he really came through the storm in those later rounds.
Yeah that was a sickening body shot.

Maidana vs Khan.

It’s a weird one. I feel like if he just got his legs underneath him he would have been able to stand up and continue. He was ok walking around like 2 seconds after he was counted out.
if I’m honest I lean towards your view, it was a choice. He doesn’t have in him what Gatti did. Gatti’s body shut down when Ward landed that perfect left to the body but he still forced himself to get up. Garcia wasn’t in anywhere near as bad a state imo
Yeah, because as I said elsewhere, the vast majority of people out there fell for the 'eye test' of this guy.
But what an eye test, they wanted the next oscar but they got the karate kid gone wrong
ive just checked social media, its devastated, utterly inconsolable, they thought they had a new breed of tough tiktokers ready to take over, now its back to the drawing board
:You_Rock_You hit the hammer right on the nail. He could have gotten up if he really wanted to win badly enough! You are right. He just mentally checked out.
Completely agree man. Yes he was hurt but he still chose to stay down.
Lol Tank dropped him with a half-hearted liver shot whereas the one Ryan stopped Campbell with was flush. Also, Ryan wasn't THAT badly hurt (hence the 5 sec delayed reaction) and could've got up. However, he realised that Tank would've jumped on him and knocked him unconscious so took the easy way out just like Khan did against Bud. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a gullible fool.
