Teofimo Lopez vs Josh Taylor on free ESPN is great!!!

I love the Teofimo Lopez vs Josh Taylor fight and love thar it is on ESPN!!! This is great for Boxing. No it isnt. Arum had invested more in them so Teo and Taylor have bigger profiles than Catterall or Martin. Arum robbed Martin and Catterall to make this fight because its more marketable to casual fans. What would have been best for boxing is to have Catterall and Martin given the clear UD they both earned and then fight for the unified title. Then Have Taylor and Teo fight to determine who gets the winner. The loser would be at a crossroads so you expect a hell of a fight. TR had no choice but to put it on ESPN given every rational fan thinks they both lost the last fights. Hard to sell a ppv in that context.

This fight is for belts right? Two top names. No rehydration clauses and it’s free. Go figure, they charge for Tanks fight for NO BELTS and a rehydration clause. WTF?????? I think it will be fine Teo is a known name on EsPn having fought on the network Casuals will tune in All those interested will tune it. And I think it will be quite a few. Both are great talents. And I know they will market the hell out of their match up with their shit talking.

My boxing friend, I met “US” not the United States. I wasn’t calling out we American boxing fans. I just don’t get how a fight between Lopez-Taylor on regular ESPN isn’t a great thing. Ahh, I got you. My apologies. I agree. I like the match up and will tune in. I'm happy it's not on PPV as I don't feel it's worthy of a PPV ticket unless they were to get a major co-main bout to add to it.

Don't blame them, blame WBC who told the world that Teo was undisputed despite Haney holding a belt. Holding 3 world titles in one division is still impressive. Not sure why people try to down play the accomplishment because "he wasn't actually undisputed"....He beat Loma to get those titles. Something none of the other "young guns" at the time were in a rush to attempt. And Haney was "promoted" to WBC champion when the WBC moved Loma to "Franchise Champion".....thus since he didn't beat any world champ to gain the belt, he was labeled a "paper champion".......This is the reason why Teofimo was glorified and labeled undisputed because he beat the "WBC Franchise Champ"......... You beat a man who still walks in the ring with a green WBC belt being held up by someone in his corner during introductions.....why wouldn't you think that you also won that title?

Shows how bad Lopez's last two performances were, his reputation has completely gone to s hit. Same with Taylor who has behaved pathetically since he robbed Catterall and refused to right that wrong. They were never PPV draws even before their most recent performances....

So it is not PPV? That's way too good to be true to be honest. If anything this fight should be a bigger fight than Garcia vs Davis, but then again both Teo and Josh's reputations have been dragged through the mud while Ryan and Garcia are social media superstars. Neither are PPV stars regardless of their accomplishments. Both had less than a dominant showing in their last fights. Also, Josh Taylor isn't a household name amongst American fans, and Teofimo's fanbase isn't as big as it will be later in his career. Throwing this on PPV would be idiotic on the behalf of Top Rank.....something they have been known to do pretty often with certain fighters.......mainly, Terence Crawford when they had him fight Viktor Postol & Amir Khan on PPV.....2 foreign talents that don't have a strong following in America vs an accomplished American champion who's fan base isn't as large as it should be as well....... You can't force the masses to pay for tickets without the promoters doing their work before making the match up public.

Teo has never been undisputed. Do your homework before quoting me. We really going to give weight to Haney’s WBC email belt which he earned since the WBC gave Lomachenko the franchise title so he could fight Lopez in a higher level championship fight and bigger payday instead of fighting Haney who can’t sell haha
