Bayless definitely hindered Benavidez but I still think he had ample time to stop Plant but couldn't. Plant was falling all over himself and grabbing Benavidez to prevent falling down. A good ref would have given him an 8 count and a stern warning for holding.

He allowed Benavidez to continually hit Plant in the back of the head. I'm not sure how continuous that was, but it's because Plant was holding his left hand continuously.

He did outbox Benavidez for the 1st half of the fight. You act like DB went in there are knocked him out in 3 rounds. People were legit scared that the fight was getting away from him until the 8th round. He completely took over the championship rounds.

Benavidez wins a competitive decision where he looked like an ordinary plodder and his fan boys are losing their ****. The result is a very far cry from the "Benavidez will KO Plant easily" predictions the fan boys were coming out with before the fight but now they're acting like he just KO'd a shot Lemieux all over again and are going over the top with the hype.
