Crawford vs...
JL Castillo
Victoriano Sosa
Phillip Ndou
DeMarcus Corley
Henry Bruseles
Arturo Gatti
I personally can't see Bud losing to any. 1 advantage Castillo had against Mayweather at 135 was size. Bud would be bigger than Castillo.
Let's not for get Mayweathers 1st 3 opponents at 147. Mitchell a career Jr. WW coming off a TKO. Zab Judah coming off a loss and then Baldomir. Imo, Bud beats them too and so does Avanesyan.
Anyways, seems like Bud is on Par with Mayweather.
Thoughts?
He hasn't gotten the opportunity. It took Floyd a while to get DLH.
Not after he moved to welter. 3 fights at 147, then moved up to 154 and catapulted his career. He dared to be great.
Hawkster was thinking Gatti has a chance ... it's true, it's damn true.
You could have Ric Flair as the ref and have him hand Gatti brass Knuckles and he'd still lose.
Floyd moved up to fight a much bigger man in Hoya. What has Bud ever done equivalent to that?
His trash resume is not on par with Floyd's. Stop it.

So it boils down to punching power, that’s how we’re rating anyone these days. Got it.
Say what he didn't just one punch ko those guys. He systematically broke em down and stopped them, and he did it consistently.
Floyd wasn't stopping limited guys like Guerrero, Marquez, Madonna 2x. He wasn't risking getting hit back.
It's about resumes to the point of Welterweight. Crawford of course isn't better than Mayweather yet but his resume to this point is on Pars with Mayweather until De la Hoya.
I find it funny how people want to twist the narrative and question the validity of a post. Again, no where did I say Crawford is better than Mayweather.

Riiinggg
Floyd, we got the shopworn already ko'd Manny on the line
Floyd: Hell Yeah put him through
So Manny....is your mental state so fragile, you're willing to throw away the most money and fame you'll ever acquire ?!?!?
True, your cult members DGAF who you fight. Your team has a bunch of slow face first types and others willing to accept that * you're gonna put on them.
Not only will you be the most hysterical 8 div ''champ'', you will have rightfully earned the Catchweight King crown as well.
As I said, you stick to your opinion and I’ll stick to mine. If you think a 36 year old Floyd was at his best back then, than we have nothing further to discuss. You can’t have it both ways. Either Clenelo was too young/inexperienced or Floyd was already washed and still pulled out one last virtuoso performance. At the end of the day, Clenelo had already 40 fights under his belt before he stepped in that ring and he was “born ready” for that event. That fight couldn’t have been made in any other timeline due to their age gap. If it wasn’t a good fight when they fought then, than it wouldn’t have been a great fight if they had fought in 2017 with Floyd being in his 40’s, sorry, but you can’t have your cake and eat it too.
Thanks for ducking the Tank age comparison the same way Floyd ducked every elite level fighter at their best.
I'm gonna have to agree with Carpe Diem here. It wasn't only a great win, it was the greatest 152 pound win of all time.
Appreciate it, fam! It truly was a great win. Stay salty my friend.
Keep celebrating mediocre wins, we will all continue to remind you that they are just that. If you think a 23 year old Canelo was at his best, then ask why Floyd insisted a 23 year old Tank was “too young” for Lomachenko. Even though Tank had 4x as many amateur fights as Canelo and more pro fights than Loma, and had already been a champ at 130!

No matter how you look at it, it was a great ****ing win. You stick to your opinion and I’ll stick to mine.

Actually Canelo did mention the catch weight and his experience level. I’m not even a Canelo fan so you can safe yourself some embarrassment and stop pretending this was a great win for Floyd. It wasn’t.
No matter how you look at it, it was a great fucking win. You stick to your opinion and I’ll stick to mine.
Always an excuse. Not even Clenelo used the 152 catch-weight that he negotiated and agreed to as an excuse as to why he lost the fight, and yet here we are with his apologists using it as the main excuse why he was utterly outclassed.

That was a “passing of the torch” type of fight that Clenelo fumbled(Not quite, he still became a household name
on his own right years later, but he would’ve been an even bigger star now had he got the job done that night, and you can take that to the bank). I honestly thought history would’ve repeated itself based on fights like, Oscar vs JCC and Whitaker, SRL vs Norris/Camacho, etc, but Floyd proved me wrong that night. That honestly was the only Floyd fight that made me nervous as a fan due to the fact that Canelo had every physical advantage even at 152 and had major “string-puller/s” who desperately wanted him to succeed by any means necessary and he still failed that mission.
We also have to take into account a fighter’s best weight. Canelo was drained at 152, and was never on the big stage in a fight of that magnitude as Floyd had already been.

Boxing is such a bloodlust sport. Only in boxing will a Pro under 22yrs old compete against the best in the world. A majority of Pro sports players NFL, NBA, MLB do 4yrs in a University or play Semi Pro for years before stepping in with the big boys. Hell i know kids in my kids district that have been held back purposely to play football and basketball.
Anyways, age plays a big factor until a man's about 23. By 23 a man should be fully developed.

Lol only Terence opponent that would give Floyd a hard time is Porter
Hard time as in turning it into an ugly rugged wrestling/NFL fight, then by all mean, but I see it playing out the same way Kell Brook beat him, while Floyd taking less punishment. Porter had zero punching accuracy, he negated his own aggression by trying to be a bully, but he still give his opponent enough spacing to react and throw and that’s all Floyd needs.
Did I stutter? Yes, he would outbox a weight drained Canelo at 152, who was still relatively young and lacking any big wins over top tier opposition.

Of course…Don’t stop there on Clenelo though, tell me who else do you think Terence “Master boxer” Crawford would’ve systematically outboxed in boxing history? I bet, SRL, SRR, Hearn, Duran, etc, wouldn’t have even lay a glove on him. In fact, I don’t see anyone from any weight division beating him. Do you agree?
So you basically saying Dud Crawford would’ve systematically outboxed Clenelo. Am I right?
