His reputation Is vicious his work rate and power is ridiculous and his chin is granite.
He doesn't just stop these guys he takes they're hearts.
Wonder how much of the Dadashev bout these opponents think of when going to war with Matias.
Not to mention he fought Orlando Salido, Gary Russell Jr, Rocky Martinez, Nicholas Walters, Jorge Linares, Jose Pedraza, Anthony Crolla, Teofimo Lopez, and Richard Commey by the time he was 8 years into his career. That's 9 world titlists (not "regular" or interim or IBO; top belts of the big 4 or Ring only). Matias is 8 years into his career and has 20 pro fights, 0 world titlists. Even the non-titlists on Loma's resume like Luke Campbell, Jason Sosa, Miguel Marriaga, and Masayoshi Nakatani are better than anybody Matias has fought.
hard to argue with that one, of course arum was going to hype loma, just like he does for all his guys like shakur for example, going to be better than mayweather say arum
Back on topic. We are seeing a force in Matias . Let's enjoy the show . He beats them all at 140. In satisfactory ways.
I agree completely.
Matias mixture of ridiculous workrate, power, chin and hunger is a tough combination to beat.
Please don't do the whole overexaggerating thing saying Lomachenko got whooped by Salido. It was a close fight that didn't go his way; it happens.
Anyway, Loma fought a ranked contender coming off a good win. Ramirez wasn't a world-beater, but he had just upset Rey Bautista and was WBC ranked contender. Robisey fought a guy who had only one win over an opponent with a winning record (2-1) and a loss.
Loma came into the game as a contender, and Robisey came in as a blue-chip prospect. Robisey's pre-pro got hype, but there will only be so much hype for a prospect fighting prospect-level fights. But let's not act like Robisey is treated like Marvin Hagler when he turned pro.
Yea think we'll agree to disagree.
We're talking pre pro hype.
What did Loma do that was so special in his debut? Nothing at all then he tried for a title against a vet in salido it backfired and got his ass whooped...yet the media still hyped him. Again we all know why.

Lomachenko did something very special when he went pro while Robeisy has taken the normal prospect route so I don't see a comparison between the two. Plus Robeisy lost his pro debut against a really low-level opponent so I'm not surprised many pumped the brakes on him.

Yet Robeisy Ramirez who also has 2 gold medals never got that type of hype.
Why do you think...not really asking we already know why.

Because one had two gold medals before turning pro?

Some opponents like Ponce think they can catch Matais easily, because he's a come forward fighter. But he makes subtle moves to avoid getting hit with too many consecutive shots & always looks for the opportunity to land big shots of his own.
He hits hard and doesnât stop. Heâs a machine from rounds 1-9, then he tires, but can usually do enough damage that itâs not noticed. That was looking like a fight of the year candidate for a minute :boxing:
I've never seen him tire the only time he looked off was right after the Dadashev death and he corrected that defeat by stopping his lone lose.
