And now he likely wanted a king's ransom for Wilder. Adding to this, I recall PBC almost sued him last year when he was scheduled for a fight with Luis Ortiz and instead signed a deal with Triller for a fight in Mexico, which quickly fell apart. Ruiz only had 1 fight remaining on his PBC contract, so he was gone after the next fight regardless.

So Wilder vs Ruiz is not happening then. Probably too much money is being asked on that fight from both sides. This is the result of overpaying Wilder with virtually no return for investors, or should we say from borrowed money hoping for long-term investment, which didn't pan out. In a way it was DAZN/Hearn's fault when they were spending too much money like drunken sailors.
