And he won't be fighting any interim fights and would rather just wait for the Joshua money fight, even though he barely lift a finger in his last fight and would have fought 3 more fights the next day?
I don't think he would duck any fight within the PBC perimeter. He is most likely instructed by his team.
Is this the new normal now? It started with Jermall, now we have Ennis who will likely to do the same thing he did last year, play waiting game.

People on here are stupid. Yes, he can fight a mandatory for peanuts or fight a couple different guys for 20X that.
DONT SAY YOU WOULD DO ANY DIFFERENT. Cause you would be lying.
So can we conclude the Ruiz vs Wilder fight no longer on the table?
It wouldn't have even been discussed while Fury Usyk negotiations were ongoing. Everything goes on hold for that scenario. Wilder and Ruiz could have fought for interim only to find that the WBC title was tied up.
Now they'll be looking at a walk up for a voluntary. If that doesn't happen then hopefully they'll fight each other.
yeah that seems to be it, the wbc will engineer him a mandatory position then call it fast, no waiting around for years like dillian. get ready for Wilder Fury 4
this is what happens when you support boxing by paying per view. they can't do multiple ppv's a month and they won't fight for less than ppv money. there's only enough money to pay the headliners. that's why these guys are so inactive.
What is holding up the fight? Ruiz's last fight was 5 months ago. Is he another part-time boxer now?
Waiting for a PPV slot probably, PBC ain’t gonna put two PPV’s in the same month and they have Benavidez-Plant in March, potentially Tank-Garcia in April and potentially Spence vs Thurman in May.
For a young guy with special skills like Jaron Ennis, he should not be playing this waiting game at all. Disappointing part is there are fighters available for him "within the PBC perimeter." Which is okay because it's within the limits of his contract deal with Showtime. He doesn't have to fight Crawford at this time or any outsider.
This is what this sport has come to. Boxers (I don't call them fighters anymore) that are not suppose to play the game are now playing it.

He's been playing the waiting game his whole career fighting bum after bum after bum until his cherrypick gone wrong of a 3 year layoff fighter and a senior citizen before cashing out.
