Any one else see signs of PBC crumbling?

I can see many Martirosyans coming out to complain about not having fights for more than a year. Remember him? Vanes? He was forced to retire. Yeah, I remember him, who can forget? He's not the only one who was being kept on the shelf during that time. So this thing about boxers fighting once a year is not new. His last fight was a rematch with Lara, then managed to secure a fight with Golovkin exactly two years later on HBO.

I'm pretty sure most of them want tuneups, but that will be more expensive than making them fight one another because you only need few dates. They use to have a bunch of little cards, they don't even have that anymore, it was the crap they sold Fox and might be the reason the got out.

With the long roster of fighters they have very few have fights lined up. Either they are negotiating a network or they are going through financial turmoil. I'm pretty sure most of them want tuneups, but that will be more expensive than making them fight one another because you only need few dates.

Yeah, tuneups or showcase fights are basically waste of time for high-profile fighters nowadays. Like Adrien Broner said, you have to fight Godzilla to get the money you want. When Broner said it he was referring to Crawford, who became his cousin because of the BLK connection, "he was not even fighting a nobody, he was fighting Spence, yet he was not offered guarantee money."​ If I were Showtime's Espinoza I would just focus on making small but competitive fights like the Matias vs Ponce fight this Saturday. They're cheaper, easy to make, they don't involve divas who have so many excuses for turning down fights.

Let’s be real, who the hell is getting DAZN for anything other than boxing? Lmao they don’t broadcast anything significant in any other sport besides boxing. Many people do. Some people have it for Darts, some for Soccer, some for MMA, some for that Misfits boxing nonsense. DANZ has several sporting & no-sporting event WORLDWIDE so you're wrong, people have DAZN for more than just Boxing.

Comparing DAZN to PBC is ridiculous. DAZN is a worldwide streaming service that just happens to broadcast Boxing, they could drop Boxing tomorrow and rely on their other sporting content to keep going. Everyone lose money here and there, even Disney & Netflix loses money, DAZN has one of the richest men behind them...they'll be fine. NOW PBC is different because they are not a streaming service, they are a Boxing advisory outfit that uses a promoter for hire (Tom Brown) due to the Muhammad Ali Act to put on their cards. They are heavily reliant on Boxing. PBC is hurting and unlike DAZN, they don't have a billionaire to back them up...without Showtime, their finished. These guys are just pawns,probably no one more so than Jermall,well maybe Wilder but atleast he was able to capitalize financially from those ass beatings at the hands of Fury. Jermall on the other hand allowed himself to be used as a pawn by his "advisor",essentially losing out on $14 million dollars ffs. "Loyalty" no doubt is a commendable quality to have but certainly not to the extent of what Jermall has lost out on financially. Looks that way considering how desperate PBC is becoming. Same could be said for DAZN who went from 100$ to to 225$ a year. I am only going to pay 20$ for Bam and Vergil in April until further notice. Too bad that we the consumers that pay for the fights, can't demand that the promoters cooperate to make the big fights happen like the UFC.

Almost sounds like a loan to Haymon at 0% interest, or even some type of Ponzi scheme. Why not hire a financial advisor outside of boxing where there's no conflict of interest? With the exception of Jermall Charlo, who is clearly his choice for being inactive, others with long unintended layoffs might be feeling stranded in a traffic they didn't expect to experience. They could be waiting for nothing. Six months of inactivity is long enough, let alone one year or more.
