Is boxing on life support ?

Yes it is on life support. If Paramount gets rid of Showtime boxing which looks like it will happen within a year or two maximum then it will be difficult to sign up another Channel to get into boxing because every other channel that has worked with PBC has rejected them and not renewed their contract so I think it will be in serious trouble once Showtime Boxing ends.

Haynon and hearn is the death of boxing, they paying these guys Floyd money to fight handpicked fights no one is moving and everyone values there health... Boxing was the boxing world was great when Oscar had the fighter and had the keys all the fights were made then

I think it needs a revamp too many belts, too many organizations and too much money boxing is a game to be played these days get in hustle and get out the true warriors of the sport are dying out. Hopefully boxing will become unpopular enough for them to do a drastic change these guys are businessmen not fighters.

As a life long fan of the sport, I’m trying to think of a time that boxing was ever this up against the ropes, doing the stanky leg and looking like it was close to going out on its shield. Casual fans have always been able to rattle of boxers that are active, but chatting to a bunch of lads recently, they were all saying besides 1 or 2 names (Canelo, Fury etc) they just don’t know what’s happening in the sport Yeah pretty much. Most of the money is in America but all the American fighters won’t fight one single threat EVER. Post-Floyd/Haymon you have to put a gun to an American fighters head to make him fight a semi-risky fight. It’s a joke. you even have 3rd rate rejects like Broner and Teofimo swerving fights left and right. Boxing is fucked lads
