Boots wants a title shot. One way to do that is to get yourself into the mandatory position, and ultimately they'll have to fight you.
Boots' fight against Karen Chukhadzhian was for the mandatory. He had to fight Chukhadzhian in order to get the mandatory. No one scoured the globe to find him. He was the highest ranked available contender, so if he wanted the mandatory position - which anyone would, in his shoes - then he HAD to fight Chukhadzhian.
If you don't like the choice of opponents, blame the sanctioning organization, not Boots. Boots doesn't control the rankings. He's just trying to get his title shot, and he has no choice but to play the cards he has been dealt. DOn't hate the player, hate the game.
Everyone wants title shots. But you don't waste one whole year waiting for it to happen. You stay busy fighting meaningful fights while waiting.
Wrong again.
The winner of Ortiz vs Stanionis will be Spence's WBA mandatory. The WBA has said that after Spence-Thurman, Spence can either fight Crawford to unify, or he must fight the winner of Ortiz-Stanionis.
The WBA is first in line. The IBF is not. There is no timetable on Spence fighting his IBF mandatory. There is no way IBF is stripping Spence anytime soon because they are behind the WBC and WBA in terms of the mandatories.
You aren't refuting anything, you're just filling in small spaces.
Was Thurman-Spence mandated by the organization or not?
Are the statements of Bozy Ennis false or not? Because he's who I am sourcing this from.
False. Ortiz's opponent is Stanionis...and the fight is postponed while Stanionis recovers. If Ortiz fights someone other than STanionis, he loses his position. Would make zero sense for him to do so.
Okay, whatever. Stanionis, same thing. Man had the appendix burst and is out of the fight.
How would he lose his position taking on another #1 contender? Now that makes zero sense.
Anyone of those in the list mentioned will say yes in a heartbeat. Butaev would be an okay stay-busy fight for Ennis. It doesn't have to be Kavaliauskas or anyone of that rep.
It's up to Ennis and his team now. I don't think fans will give him another pass if he does the same thing he did last year, sit around wait for nothing.
None of those guys are nothing close to having A-side behavior. You can be sure they're dying to get back in the ring. And if you've been hearing Redkach sad predicament, his fight being canceled, blaming his promoter, cursing this sport, etc. So no, there's no sense turning down fights at this level. None.

HAHAHAHAHA...this is a joke, right. Kavaliauskas is 2-2-1 in his last 5 fights. Couldn't take out Mykal Fox...and you think he can deal with Boots' power? LOL
Brah there's no Kavaliauskas level in Jaron Boots entire record. Most of them are Rod Salka level. Up to to you keep on fooling yourself.
He turned pro 7 years ago this April and still haven't done **** his entire career. 7 goddamn years
End thread here. Very accurate. I don't know why there's still some people who are defending his abysmal record. It's indefensible.
They can't even answer the topic's question. Will he continue to rely on Spence's moves even if it takes another year? Or take one or two more fights this year?
Spence pretty much has no choice.
Crawford seems to be firmly out of the picture for anyone but himself as he has created a moat around himself that prevents the Spence fight from happening.
Spence beats Thurman. He has to fight Ennis to keep the IBF strap. So, he'd either move up and quit 147 or fight Ennis. Seeing how Crawford has no indication of fighting Spence.

Conor Benn is suspended so, get him to fight Ortiz Jr.
Ortiz's opponent kavala-whataever had his appendix burst so, may as well get in the ring with a live opponent for once.
The way Ennis fought that last fight would get him bricked against Spence.

Butaev, Kavaliauskas, Crowley, the guy who beat Ellis, even Barrios and Josesito Lopez would say yes to Jaron "Boots" Ennis in a heartbeat. Probably even Dulorme would want a rematch. Those are all inhouse fights for Jaron "Boots" Ennis. No need to cross the street. But for some strange reason they'd rather scour the globe to look for Karens.

Jaron “BOOTS” Ennis Overrated 12Rds With A MisMatch!
"Kavaliauskas would KO Karen! Ortiz KO'd Kavaliauskas! Kavaliuskas is top 10!

It won't add up if you say all those guys turned down a fight with Ennis, who himself hasn't done much. Their other option is what? Play waiting game for nothing.

Well, nobody knows the whole story, like why a young prime fighter prefers to be inactive when there's so many options for him in the same street. I don't think guys like Butaev, Kavaliauskas, Crowley, Barrios would turn down fights. These guys would probably fight Kingkong just to get back in the ring and earn money for their families.

There's not much the Showtime exec can do if his offers are perennially turned down. That's why Espinoza needs to start throwing these guys under the bus, who he made offers to, who turned them down, etc. I'm sure most of these dormant fighters were asked to come back, but wanted money Showtime can't afford to pay. Take it from Broner. These PBC guys will only get paid big money if they fight Godzilla.

Yeah, that's the most likely scenario that will play out in the Ennis camp just like last year until he gets criticized for being too inactive and be forced to look for any fight again at the closing of the year. I see another huge gap in between his last and next fight. Seems predictable. But we could be wrong. I also see Showtime's Espinoza tired of taking the heat and do something drastic.

I can almost guarantee you that Ennis’s people want NOTHING to do with either Spence or Crawford after his last fight. EASY WORK for either Spence or Crawford.
I cant believe either Crawford or Spence doesn’t fight him. EASY MONEY. He should fight the top 3,4 & 5 guy but I know that’s not happening so I’ll just buy another UFC fight.
