I keep hearing people saying how Porter was washed up or just didn't have the desire anymore, downplaying Crawford's win. But who here thought that Crawford would actually stop him?
From the Pick Em last year the following posters picked Bud by KO

Myself I went with Bud by clear Decision, knew he would outbox him but didn't think the stoppage was that likely.
Thank you for that.

Crawford stopped Porter and if Spence ever gets in the ring with him, he's gonna get slayed!

I thought he would. I think he stops Spence too.
Providing the fight happens in 6 or 8 months I will drop money on a Crawford stoppage. No knock on Spence I just feel Bud is capable of it.
Haven't seen one fighter to date break Crawford down let alone a guy who wouldn't stop Mikey (Crawford would have destroyed Mikey like he did Diaz) coming up from 135 or put a dent in Porter outside off catching him during one of his looping punch bum rush episodes to ink out a 10-8 round.
The Spence that fought Ugas would have destroyed Mikey, Errol when he is in terminator mode is a lot different than the one wanting to outbox a guy, just as the TC that was wobbled by Gamboa is different than the TC that fought Porter, its wrong to pick a particular fight and say that's what he is, if that was the case Manny that got beat by ordinary fighters is not Manny that beat Cotto.
That's a much tougher deal, TC can do it though because of that explosive accuracy he has, but if it gets into later rounds I can also see Errol breaking TC down.

Here. Would eventually bum-rush into Crawford's counters with those wide looping hooks he throws. Was on the chat at Odeec's channel and he said Crawford would carry Porter for 12 rounds b/c they were friends in the amateurs as kids. The perfect analysis was spot on. No one could anticipate Shakur telling Crawford corner he was behind on the cards. 30 seconds later it was a stoppage. I think that sums it up.
I predicted Crawford by stoppage, and got ridiculed by Crawford haters before the fight. See Crawford can create power and leverage in his punches moving backward or on the "pull". He has a calmness under pressure, and once he gets his guy hurt he is a clinical finisher. He might not have the raw power to hit a stationary target as hard as Spence but he hits you with things you don't see because of his timing and angles.
Needless to say these people didn't show their face after the fight, too many people here have strong opinions and dont really know what they are looking at.
I thought it would be a tuff fight and I saw Crawford having a hard time at the beginning. The fact that Porter retired says he was done before the fight. I saw a Porter who gave up more than anything. Also, I remember hearing Porters cohosts talking about Porter not training like he normally does prior to the fight. That says something about his mentality. Crawford is still a top talent but if he would of fought Porter 3 years prior. It would of been a far more difficult fight.
I thought it was possible. Was torn between Crawford UD or late stoppage.
Crawford has exceptional timing and Porter is wildly aggressive at times which leaves openings and as wee seen in round 10 Crawford was able to exploit that.
Porter wasn’t washed or shot, that’s just nonsense from haters, fanboys etc. Porter was still undoubtedly a top 5 Welterweight and based on his performance in the fight I saw no obvious signs of decline.
