Look at these ladies contending their A-side claims:

Gives me a good chuckle and a wide grin on my face.
I've seen it in others like Joyce and Parker in their press con.
It's very amusing.
Boxing is doomed again.....
Boxing has been dead so many times, it's zombified :(
Even still, I personally refuse to see grown men kicking and wrestling each other.
I can get that for free at the local bar.
No, it's not dead.
It will never be dead, but just because it aint dead dont mean it's healthy.
Well, boxing is starting to get it's ass kicked by that sport full of nobodies.
Look at what's trending more often.
Boxing only has a few stars like Canelo & a few others.
But this next generation is pretty much almost exclusively pro-MMA thanks to boxing's "A-side/B-side" nonsense.

Boxing is a rare ''sport'' where rules are not really important. I don't blame a boxer who holds his A sidedness so seriously. As we see, the next fight can be their last.
Also, MMA fighters are just a bunch of nobodies who are only known to a scant few. There is no one to duck.

No other sports allow for fighters to negotiate on whether they fight each other.
The Denver Broncos don't have to negotiate with the New England Patriots. :lol1:
There's no ducking in MMA, which is the preeminent combat sports challenger to boxing

A side B side goes on in every facet of sports and life itself.
Some A sides are more ''demanding'' and rightfully so.

I don't mind it either until it takes a toll on the sport and keeps us from getting the fights we want.
Oscar & Leonard made a ton of money while fighting just about everybody in their generation.

I don't see a problem with a boxer maximizing their earning potential.
Not all boxers are equal.

I think it was Floyd who coined the term, likely something Haymon whispered in his ear. Haymon was a music exec, and back when there were vinyl records, you had the A side and B side of a single 45 RPM record. A side was the hit song, B side was a less popular song from the album.
Yeah, that makes complete sense. No doubt that's where it came from.
The hit song being on the A side of the disc and the supporting song/s on the B side.
Oh yeah.
Dude was a legit celebrity.
He'd be dating like Rihanna & have like 10 million followers on IG & Twitter.
Plus, as an Olympic gold medalist, he'd be on TV constantly.
It'd take years for us to get fights with Hearns & Duran
He'd probably never fight Hagler in this day & age until Hagler was at least 35-36 & maybe lost a fight or two.

Absolutely.
Why you trying to make it seem like Barrera took two savage beatings to Junior Jones when the truth is he got soundly outboxed by a light puncher.
Big Dunn excuses flow through this dude
Have you seen the first Barrera/Jones fight? MAB got his ass whooped. Plus he had his wear and tear from his wars too. Yet you give Manny credit for beating him, but won’t give floyd credit for beating Manny
Do you think SRL would have been more of an Asider if he were in todays technology fueled era ?
Social media and so many networks.....

Barrera had been retired for about 2 years and had been beaten badly in 2 fights with Jones. Yes he came back and upset Hamed.
Are you sure that is prime?
Absolutely.

- - Ring p4p rated #5
What grade they send U back to that year?
Two things can be true at once.
He got that rating on the strength of upsetting Hamed. What I posted was 100% correct, which is why you didn’t answer the question about prime directly.
It’s like you guys say Manny was shot when Floyd beat him, yet he was ranked #2 p4p, higher than the rank you cited above. So maybe he was as prime as you say Barrera was.

So? Barrera was 29 and prime.
Just admit it. Pac's best prime win is better than Floyd's.

Yeah, the answer is really Leonard.
That was a tactic he used to delay Tommy Hearns back in the day, but to his credit, he didn't delay it too long and did end up stopping Hearns
He also used it to delay the Hagler fight, but once again, he did end up beating Hagler, too.
Mostly, for Leonard, it was a way to screw with dangerous opponents like Hearns & Hagler & Duran
He didn't really drag the fights out too long.
Floyd turned it into an artform :lol1:
