Who started this A-side, B-side thing?

Boxing is doomed again..... Boxing has been dead so many times, it's zombified :( Even still, I personally refuse to see grown men kicking and wrestling each other. I can get that for free at the local bar. No, it's not dead. It will never be dead, but just because it aint dead dont mean it's healthy.

Well, boxing is starting to get it's ass kicked by that sport full of nobodies. Look at what's trending more often. Boxing only has a few stars like Canelo & a few others. But this next generation is pretty much almost exclusively pro-MMA thanks to boxing's "A-side/B-side" nonsense. Boxing is doomed again..... Boxing is a rare ''sport'' where rules are not really important. I don't blame a boxer who holds his A sidedness so seriously. As we see, the next fight can be their last. Also, MMA fighters are just a bunch of nobodies who are only known to a scant few. There is no one to duck. Well, boxing is starting to get it's ass kicked by that sport full of nobodies. It's frustrating As old as boxing is, it still can't figure itself out. A single governing organization should have been in place a century ago.

No other sports allow for fighters to negotiate on whether they fight each other. I think it was Floyd who coined the term, likely something Haymon whispered in his ear. Haymon was a music exec, and back when there were vinyl records, you had the A side and B side of a single 45 RPM record. A side was the hit song, B side was a less popular song from the album. Yeah, that makes complete sense. No doubt that's where it came from. The hit song being on the A side of the disc and the supporting song/s on the B side.

Barrera had been retired for about 2 years and had been beaten badly in 2 fights with Jones. Yes he came back and upset Hamed. Are you sure that is prime? Absolutely. That was a tactic he used to delay Tommy Hearns back in the day, but to his credit, he didn't delay it too long and did end up stopping Hearns He also used it to delay the Hagler fight, but once again, he did end up beating Hagler, too. Mostly, for Leonard, it was a way to screw with dangerous opponents like Hearns & Hagler & Duran He didn't really drag the fights out too long.
