This why I have Wilder beating Ruiz.
I was 50/50 before last night. Andy wasn't horrible but seeing his trepidation facing Ortiz, I don't see much chance against the younger, harder hitting, more athletic Wilder
Ortiz is talked about like a nobody. Look at his record. A bunch of nobodies minus just 2 names. Why? Even as a old man. NOBODY wants to get in the ring with him. Only maybe the Top 4 can whip him.
Stop trolling. Ruiz knocked Ortiz down three times and never went down himself. He is 43 and not 52.
And Frank Sanchez is 30 years old.

No facial hair (for a reason) on Ortiz and they keep him faded with hair dye.

Ortiz has never provided a valid birth certificate and his age has been speculated for years he is significantly older than what he claims
I think the Ruiz that fought AJ was in much better shape than he was tonight.
c'mon now, the Ruiz in the Joshua rematch just ate pizzas and never trained. I thought the world wised up to Hearn's bullshit that Joshua fought a master class by running from an immobile blob lol
Less than I'd expected and hoped for but a clear win, not life and death.
Strange to see Andy giving ground, seems he respects Ortiz's power more than Joshua's.
He got severely outboxed for me, the knockdowns saved him
Makes me think how bad is AJ he went 12 rounds with an even worse ruiz

the version of ruiz that fought joshua in NY, was humble, quite lowkey and mellow, quite shy. Now he slooks like a bimbo with fake teeth, hair and nails done, facial, probably will get lipo and a boob job next.
How’d you know? :lol1:

I'm not sure how many of the current top 10 either of them beat at this point tbh. Ortiz is 43 in Cuban years with not much punch resistance left, Ruiz is short and lazy.
Life and death implies a war. The fight with Arrerola was physically harder. If anything he looked lazy and anytime he let his hands go he hurt Ortiz.
I don't think it's laziness in this scenario. Walking in against Ortiz carries some serious risk. I think he was cautious, but not shelled up. He fought well against a guy who makes everyone look bad.
Wilder got dominated by the same guy until he caught him.
Those fights were 3 and 5 years ago. That's an eternity for an older fighter.
And, the key phrase here is, until he caught him. Ortiz went to sleep in both of those fights.
That was a pretty boring life and death situation. Ruiz is still the same. Ortiz is still crafty despite his legs being gone and punch resistance being toast.
Ruiz lost this fight. He won 4 rounds and got 3 knockdowns (even though the second knockdown was a push). That's 113-112 Ortiz for me.
Ruiz had a 43 year old shot fighter on rubber legs and lost. He's trash.
